The side air vents on GLE reminds me the Maybach UL interior - so we can expect an improved interior this time with Merc SUV

Well spotted! Maybe the GLE interior could be inspired by the design of the Maybach UL, or the Maybach interior could preview that of the GLE?

The Maybach UL previews several design elements you'll see across both Mercedes and Mercedes-Maybach.

I posted almost the same detail in the X5 thread. But what I forgot to mention was the fact that when comparing Maybach concept and the early interior spy shots from the new GLE, you can also spot similarities around the center console, such as the four rectangular elements.

Love it. So much better than the faux retro stuff that's going on.

Saw a nice config of the current GLE, even if i’m not a huge fan of the W166, this one looked really nice in metal. The new1 will be a hot machine no doubt.

Damn! You are from Malaga! That German-ish nickname of yours had me totally confused.

Nice to see some other Spanish member around.

I want this revealed..I`m so curious over it.I can`t actually believe that the X5 was unveiled before this.

I think this is called Dune Silver in the US. It's currently offered on the E coupe and cab only.

They're different. Cubanite Silver (European Color name) was known as Pewter Metallic in the U.S., and hasn't been available for several years. Dune Silver (aragonitsilber metallic in Euope) is a relatively new color that debuted on the last generation E coupe/cabrio refresh and is more gold than Mojave Silver, which is more of a platinum color (and closer to Cubanite than Dune). I like the new Dune Silver, and happy that Emerald is expanding across the lineup. We need more colors other than blacks and greys!

WTF is wrong with people and they don't want the C-Pillar to meet the roof? For me, the GLE in the above pics looks bloody brilliant, yet ruined by this feature.

It's the same case with the A1. It's not funny!

Yeah, the trend needs to die a quick death.

However.....(pause for dramatic effect)

There was a spy pic posted recently where it seems it does meet the roof top but it's a bit more pronounced. Or maybe I imagined it.

EDIT: Nope, I didn't imagine it. It was on the previous page of this thread.

Wow. The GLE finally has attitude again like the MK.I.

This will be the first one I have liked in decades.

Those renders look pretty good except that part you all are talking about. Thank goodness that isn't like that for real.
