Porsche approach to hedging like BMW is correct. EV sportscar is a new territory. No one knows what the demand and resale values will be. Unlike four door EVs, the two seaters won't benefit from fleet demand. Can someone please fine these bad bad customers for not wanting EV cars?
At least lets make then use a stick next to the license plate claiming they are planet haters or something.
EVs have the same performance, regardless whether they are a two seater or a sedan. The weight difference is less than 5%, so how could they uplift the performance?Manufacturers: Need to price them reasonably and ensure that they offer a meainingful performance uplift compared with 4 seater EVs.
Im not sure being open minded has anything to do with EV adoption.Porsche approach to hedging like BMW is correct. EV sportscar is a new territory. No one knows what the demand and resale values will be. Unlike four door EVs, the two seaters won't benefit from fleet demand.
Two things need to improve for EV sports cars to take off:
Consumer: Need to become more open minded.
Manufacturers: Need to price them reasonably and ensure that they offer a meainingful performance uplift compared with 4 seater EVs.
I guess it’s like digital watches vs mechanical ones. The former is superior is all ways possible but we value the latter like jewellery or status symbols.Im not sure being open minded has anything to do with EV adoption.
EV’s just arent emotive. Buying a sportscar is a emotive purchase.
They serve no other purpose than to stir your soul.
I'm betting the GT3 RS is coming first. Emissions are getting stricter in the immediate future.Question if anybody knows... will the GT3 RS 992.2 come before or after the GT2 RS ? Any of those two expected in 2025 ?
Very well said.EV’s just arent emotive. Buying a sportscar is a emotive purchase.

Rumors on 992.2 Turbo range
- Introduction of the Turbo and Turbo S models in early 2025.
- The Turbo "Touring" model will feature 640hp, RWD, and an optional manual transmission.
- The Turbo S model will have 710hp, AWD, and a PDK transmission.
- Both models will feature a 55hp T-Hybrid system.
If true, will be a first for manual + hybrid.
I think what Sunny's saying is that this will be the first hybrid car with a manual transmission.Everything "+ hybrid" is new.
Turbo Touring is just the Sport Classic with the new hybrid system.
