Porsche‘s game and sales tactics between 2020-2023 were genius:

Parts shortage restricted car production.
-Speculators and car enthusiasts were thirsty for GT models And willing to buylesser Porsche models in order to climb the allocation ladder.
-Tens of thousands are showroom Taycan models were sold to customers who didn’t want them. In the process this helped Porsche lower its CO2 fleet average. Some Taycans depreciated £50-70k in 12 months and some Porsche dealers didn’t accept them as trade-ins towards a new car.
-Porsche prioritised the production of GT-models which resulted in higher revenue per car. As a result a Carrera or Carrera S had a lead time of 8 months vs 6 months for a GT car. Therefore more customers orders GT models.

Now that the bubble has burst you can buy a low mileage 992 GT3 for a modest premium over list. This was a pipe dream 2 years ago. On auto traders there are 80 Carrera S for sale vs 77 GT3. Then there are 32 718 GT4 RS for sale and lots of 992 GT3 RS as well. These are only the cars that are advertised on the web. However there will be plenty that are advertised privately through car clubs or sale-or-return.

Therefore the “exclusivity“ of GT models is perceived rather than actual.

Having to pay over MSRP for a used example means it is still exclusive. Even if I came up with 220k today I can't go to the dealer and order one.

Looks like a GT1 redux. Given the RSR is mid engined, probably a re-bodied RSR.
