Comparison tests Porsche 918 vs McLaren P1 vs LaFerrari

I don't I fly in one of my Jets, I have 4.....
Yet you waste time posting on the internet in your spare time?

I'll leave you to continue babbling criticism about a car that's received widespread praise on your own. I don't have time to play bullshit tennis.

kris singh (veneno owner) has a an account on teamspeed (ZondaUFO) and an instagram account (lamborghiniks), jim glickenhouse (P4/5 owner) has an account on Fchat (Napolis)

Apparently a Ford Focus st is faster than the Hypercars

It would appear that a Focus ST is faster than the P1, 918 and LaFerrari.

Well done Ford! Imagine what would happen if they went back to Le Mans:LOL:

In the left corner we have @Apolo1 with the black 918 and in the right corner we have @Emu with the black P1, ladies and gentlemen place your bets on which will be the champion!!

LOL! You guys are like boxers slogging it out and fighting about which car is better on every track, I love this!!!

Okay didn't realise the extra 2 for F1 cars. So where's the change? GP track included?

The 956 record is on the 20.8km track though.

How do you know a P1 GTR won't run 6:2X. They may not run a lap but the time seems reasonable given the road car runs sub-7 minutes on road tyres.

The changes are all described here

To be fair I said the GTR wouldn't beat 6.20, ie it won't run a 6.1x. If it runs a 6.2x that will be pretty impressive and I will tip my hat.

nothing BS, and that's the problem......If you had driven both cars over a period of time think you would have different view...to much rubbish in the mags..

like I said when the dust settles, think the lafa will be the quickest. Genuinely did not expect this...

You've got to love fastestlaps. A few weeks ago an Aston Martin had done a 1s lap on Bedford Autodrome.

Although most of us are familiar with it... I post this for the few who are apparently not :)
The probably most significant road car comparison ever held at the Nordschleife - from Evo (issue 123).
Customer cars, all of the same owner.
A fresh set of OEM tires.
Driver Marc Basseng.

Two hot laps per car.
Starting with 45 kg of fuel.

Lap time / test weight (incl. driver +45 kg fuel) / car
7:24.29 / 1602 kg / 2004 Maserati MC12
7:24.65 / 1441 kg / 2005 Pagani Zonda F Clubsport
7:25.21 / 1496 kg / 2002 Ferrari Enzo
7:28.71 / 1516 kg / 2003 Porsche Carrera GT
7:33.55 / 1496 kg / 2006 Koenigsegg CCX

I wonder if this same owner has since upgraded to ownership of both LaFerrari, 918 and Agrera R and would consider taking those cars to the Nordschleife!!

The Agera One:1 may be a surprise package. I don't know if it'll be as fast as the big 3 but it's far more than just a straight-line machine. 610kg of downforce at 174mph, active flexible suspension and aero, which can automatically adapt the track features and Cup 2 tyres as standard. The aero is well thought out too, the rear wing attaching from the front to keep the underside clean. I think it will put in a very good time, maybe even sub-7.

is this a secret confession about where you see them on the race track? :D
It was more a metaphor for the predicted result - the P1 will shaft the LaFerrari.:D

Actually I think it'll be very close, I don't think we'll ever see a clean gap. Just like 12C vs 458, it'll go back and forth from one track to the next.

Does anyone know why porsche didn't make all of the power go to the rear wheels after the battery decouples from the front instead of just shutting it off?

It's a question of the maximum power the electric motor driving the rear wheels can deliver.

Someone (I wonder who?) has been trying to troll Jethro Bovingdon about tyres. Jethro's responses are excellent. As per usual when faced with defeat the McLaren mantra about "subjective opinions are irrelevant" makes an appearance.
