Someone lieeeeed!!!
You said nov 18 its 19th ffs!

Yeah, although it was an unconfirmed rumor, I was hoping it'd show up too. And the recent AMuD article that had popped up and then was taken down further raised my hopes. But, as I've learned all too often in life, I should never raise my hopes. ;) :D

On the bright side, something else to look foward.

Was it you ?? I just know someone or a few said 18th in this thread.
So why did you lie to me?
And have you asked your source why they lied to you ?

I am waiting for this car as you if not more, be assured, having already placed a large deposit...So pls don't play with me;) tks (y)
I just reported what was told by one of the most reliable sources on Rennlist. And I always wrote "it seems" but I understand
that my English is just basic. Probably I should use my two main other mother languages next time?

Unless the manufacturer themselves release an official reveal date, I generally take anything someone else posts as unconfirmed rumor. And not because of any sort malevolent or distrustful reason, but because things may be more dynamic than we know, especially now with COVID lock-downs, etc. so I don't think anyone is being deceitful, especially purposely deceitful. With the AMuS drive-along originally posted (and very soon taken down) on Nov 15, I too thought the reveal was nigh and Nov 18 seemed even more legit. Alas, it wasn't the case, no big deal.

EDIT: as I post this, and getting a sense from your posts over the years, perhaps your tone was more in jest than anything.

another solid rumor coming by the same reliable source mentioned above: it seems that the 992 Gt3 was quite faster than the previous 991 Gt3 RS MKII at Ring. Time will tell...

All-New 911 GT3 Drops All Camo Because Porsche Can’t Be Bothered Anymore

We have a fresh batch of spy photos of the new 992-series 911 GT3 that was nabbed testing alongside another highly anticipated hardcore Porsche model, the Cayman GT4 RS. The 992 GT3 will also mark the return of the popular Touring derivative that combines styling traits from both the standard and GT3 models for a more understated look. On the other end of the spectrum, the Touring will be followed by the extreme GT3 RS with hardcore upgrades including a stripped out interior, a massive double deck rear spoiler and even more power. [Updated 11/21/2020]

Porsche has been testing the 992-based 2021 911 GT3 with minimal camouflage for the past few months but they apparently decided to not bother anymore, as we can see in these fresh spy shots.
The new generation Porsche 911 GT3, which is expected to be revealed towards the end of the year, is one of the most photographed future models of the year. Porsche has been peeling off bits of fake plastic body parts slowly during that time, and now we get to see the car in what looks like its final production bodywork for the first time.

The last thing that came off the test car is the covers of the rear bumper, allowing everyone to see the finished item. The only bit that remains covered is found in the middle part of the rear LED strip that unites the taillights.
Of course, this isn’t the first time we get to see the finished car as Porsche teased the new 911 GT3 by showing it in the background of a Super Bowl commercial last January.
The 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 is going to stick with a high-revving naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, which is expected to offer around 510-520HP and a redline of at least 9,000 rpm. Customers will be offered the choice between a six-speed manual or a dual-clutch PDK transmission, as well as the option for the popular Touring pack, which does away with the massive rear wing and features slightly softer suspension.

Porsche went to great lengths to keep the GT3’s N/A flat-six engine alive and compliant with the latest emission rules; the revised unit will feature two petrol particulate filters to keep EU rule makers happy, among other updates. Spy videos of different test cars so far reveal that the soundtrack of that flat-six will remain as evocative as ever, which isn’t always the case with PPF-equipped cars.
The new Porsche 911 GT3 is reportedly going to make its grand debut towards the end of the year, following the now usual Covid-related delay. With the test cars now running around naked, we wouldn’t be surprised if Porsche decides to make it official even sooner.

I don’t love the new spoiler. Too crazy for a GT3. Give me the 991.2. To me that’s a near perfect car. I’ll likely buy one in 2021. I drove one two weeks ago and a car hasn’t put a smile on my face like that in a long time.

I guess it'll be possible to get a 992 with the Touring pack also... without the large rear wing. I think that one will look awesome.

I agree! But I find PDKs such a joy to use that I don’t really the manual.

The 991.2 GT3 looks to be near automotive perfection. With the wing, it has the right amount of racy aggression without going overboard. Aurally, it's one of the best sounding engines this side of an LFA's V10. It's been at the number 1 spot in my dream-car list for quite some time.

That said, I am not ready to discount the 992. The swan-neck rear wing wasn't initially visually pleasing, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. I am curious to see what was the reason they went with this set-up.

More aerodynamically efficient. Apparently, the underside of a wing generates about 3-5x more downforce than the top side, i.e a wing is more sucked than pushed. So you don't want to disturb the air flow under the air as much as possible.
