From the very limited exposure given, I'd say that the rear wing might look better on this blue car, less massive with the black bits contrasting with the blue body color. I might get used to it... whereas till now I found it plain ugly ! Front looks gorgeous though... and I love the wheels. Now the big question... any clue when the official release will take place ?

In the first video he said the black one is all camo, and the car will be different, and have a different wing and stuff, yet it’s the same car just in another color. Get it in black and there you go with the prototype....

Still haven't seen the TG CHOC video, but in the posted stills, the swan-necks are uncovered and looks more lithe.

Probably optional. On the 991, the motorcycle-inspired stripe was optional. It wouldn't be a Porsche if it wasn't optional.

I think this in a Gulf blue and bronze wheels would like quite fetching.

Really like the design, the wing is very elegant. Must have the wing, a GT3 is not a GT3 without a wing....

I agree! But I find PDKs such a joy to use that I don’t really the manual.

Interesting info from Autocar today :
There is the choice of the seven-speed PDK automatic or a six-speed manual, both offered on the two GT3 derivatives, whether you prefer the overt track-refugee look of the standard GT3 or the quieter sleeper style of the Touring.

Lovely vid. Nice walk-through memory lane. A bit surprised they didn't touch on The Widowmaker (thought they did do the 991.2 GT2 looking especially sinister in one of my favorite Porsche hues: the inky Midnight Blue) or the Speedster, but I am not going to look a gift-horse in the mouth. This was like a TEDTalk on the psychological benefits of an unencumbered high-revving NA engine.

The new GT3 looks so good. There was an initial hesitance regarding the swan-necks when they first appeared in spy pics 12-18 months ago, but I've like them as time went on. The final outcome looks very good. Looks like that the sporty folks at VAG are big fan of the swan-neck set-up as seen on the upcoming Huracan STO. An actual PDK lever? Excellent. Interior looks relatively fuss-free for this day and age. And those small drive-by footage and past spy vids confirm that it'll be a pleasing aural experience. I know I am so far from owning or experiencing one, but I am legit excited by this upcoming debut. Just release the frickin' thing!!!!!

Save that towering rear wing and the black n blue rims (satin silver for me-otherwise, cool design), I absolutely love it. Touring Package in Aventurine Green with saddle brown interior for me.

I'm very impressed how the rear turned out with the small ducktail and swan neck mail spoiler. Looks good.
Front-end is very different to anything seen before in a GT 911. It's not disappointing in any way at this stage. Quite the opposite.

The front air intake design is certainly unusual, looks like they adapted an air curtain approach for the brake cooling. It appears less aggressive at the front but more at the back with the massive diffuser and huge rear wing. Rims would look nicer in all black without the blue ring. Otherwise, its a stunner of a car and sounds fantastic too.

Those are not NACA ducts, Jimmy-san. A NACA duct is a very specific design:

Those are just "vents" on the 992 GT3 front end.

991 GT3 RS and GT2 RS have NACA ducts on the bonnet.
