Quite frankly, I'd be downright embarrassed to drive this on anything other than a racing circuit.

Part of me thinks that is a Cup car they are testing. I can't tell all too well and I am not as well-versed when it comes to tires, but those look like slicks.

The wheels seem to be 20/21" with street center locks. And the brakes seem to be PCCB. Cup cars have a very different wheel/brake setup. So doubtful it is the cup car.

You are so right!
First off: I adore the GT3 and would take one immediately... but this 992 generation GT3 now perfectly demonstrates, that we are in a dead end sportscarwise.
Porsche needs to deliver the ultimate performance. Everyone expects it. It has to break all the records on the typical tracks used by sport auto, evo magazine, autobild sportscars and so on... and it will do for sure!
But at what expense?? The pics and videos reveal it. Brutally width front/rear axle. Crazy aero with crazy big wings. Massive tires, ...
Like @Jimmy said: It is a track only weapon! But does this make sense? Not long ago I read an interessting article from a Porsche enthusiast, who stated, that he already skipped doing rides over passes in the Alps with his 991 GT3. Too fat, too much width to be driveable there. Needs unbearable high speeds to make fun. The 997 generation to him was the last being somewhat usable/generating fun in this terrain.
Such a monster like shown above will only make fun on closed tracks. But does this make sense? If you want to have even more fun regularly at trackdays, build you a lightweight/stripped BMW E36 or Toyota GT86 with a cell and approx. 250hp and you have so much more fun ... especially if you are not at least a semi pro race driver ... and all for a fraction of the costs.

that's a photoshop made by a Rennlist member...He added 4 colors and this is the best one in my opinion..I still believe they will show the car on 18 November as rumoured

Wow that car is symphony to the ears. Truly awesome engine and exhaust sound. The agility and speed through the corners is simply astonishing, it flicks from left to right with no roll or any over or understeer amazing grip and body control. It is a pure drivers delight. Only blot on an otherwise perfect package is that atrocious looking rear wing, it looks like something someone fabricated in their back yard maintenance shop.
