Peugeot 508 leaked

South-Africa is not a very French-car loving country, against what does the 508 compete?

Here we go.

Directly:

-Citroen C5 (which I think it shares the same platform)
-Chrysler Sebring
-Dodge Avenger
-Ford Mondeo
-Honda Accord (Acura TSX in America)
-Hyundai Sonata
-Kia Magentis (Optima in America)
-Mazda 6 (different of the American model)
-Opel/Vauxhall Insignia (Buick Regal in America and China)
-Renault Laguna
-Skoda Superb
-Subaru Legacy
-Toyota Avensis
-Volkswagen Passat

Indirectly:

-Alfa Romeo 159
-Audi A4
-BMW 3-series
-Lexus IS
-Mercedes-Benz C-Class
-Saab 9-5
-Volvo S60

I think I prefer the look of the new Citroen C5 before this, and the Insignia too. The 508 looks better than the Laguna, for example wich is an ugly car, but the nicest one on the cathegory are still better looking than this rare Peugeot.

I prefer the sedan to the wagon; that's the first time in years that has happened when the car in question is French. I sort of like the car - based on looks I'd certainly choose it before the other French (or Japanese) cars in this class, or the Insignia.

I think they should bring this car to America with diesel engine of course. It is a great alternative to Audi A4, Acura TL and Buick Regal ( Insignia).

Peugeot

Peugeot is a French brand of automobiles owned by Stellantis. Founded in 1810, Peugeot is regarded as the oldest car company in the world. On 20 November 1858, Émile Peugeot applied for the lion trademark. Armand Peugeot (1849-1915) built the company's first car steam tricycle. They joined forces with Léon Serpollet in 1886; this was followed in 1890 by an internal combustion car with a Panhard-Daimler engine.
