Arteon [Official] Volkswagen Arteon - Official VW Arteon

The car looks good in real life. For the interior nerds there are hard plastics in some places.

Some documents from VAG's joint venture in China say that the shooting brake version is coming, any thoughts?

I welcome a shooting brake. While the Arteon is practical enough, headroom in the back is compromised by the sloping roof. However it's a worthwhile comprise for those drop dead gorgeous looks.

It amazes me just how...bloody good...the Arteon R Line looks when encountering one approaching in oncoming traffic. Low, wide and menacing. Viewed straight from the rear, its' attractive as well. And I've always liked its' modern, minimalistic, functional no-nonsense interior.

Alas, the cars' odd side profile spoils what could have been one immensely desirable VW. Unfortunate.

The Arteon appears to be quite a popular car. I frequently spot them in my area.

I think it looks fantastic - especially in the yellow colour. Only the generic VAG interior let’s it down. However the layout is logical and the tech is easy to use.

It could have been absolutely stellar were the so-called "prestige clearance" (the distance between the base of the A-pilars and hub of the front axle) 5-to-6cm longer. The absence of such diminishes the eye-appeal significantly IMHO.

Prestige clearence? Lol I have never heard of such thing but absolutely love it and look forward to putting it to use when I own a car that has it.

Prestige clearance basically is the difference between an ugly and pretty car. One of the most important aspects of a car, because it usually means RWD.

Your M140i is a perfect example. Once you see it, the Arteon sadly becomes ugly; the FWD proportions don’t work with such a big car.

I saw a Arteon sedoup the other day and I thought it looked very stylish. Certainly an improvement on its already good looking predecessor, the CC. This SB version also looks great and will be a more practical alternative.
