M5 [Official] The new BMW M5 CS

The BMW M5 is a high-performance variant of the BMW 5 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand. M5 models have been produced for every generation of the 5 Series since 1984, with occasional gaps in production (1995 to 1998, 2023 to 2024). Official website: BMW M
The new combined lines of the roof and the bonnet are very suggestive and at the same time subtle, I just noticed their aggressiveness and harmony in the whole

That's not true.

The RS 5 Coupe is 30kg lighter than the M4 (G82), and it has 4WD. The figure quoted for the M4 is RWD.

The next gen RS5 will be much heavier too, just like the M4. So in the end the difference in weight for the same car generation will be as big as always.

The M5 has alot of headroom for tuning to 800-900hp.

The Evolve M5 (pre LCI) is already over 1000 hp, so yes. 800 hp is extremely easy. After that you're safer off with forged engine parts like Evolve has done.

Club of porkers, except the last one...

1400 kg, 400 hp, manual, RWD, hydraulic steering. Please make something like that BMW! And no screens please.

I agree. But HovabogZA didn't say "all the cars in that list are lighter than their closest competition and cars that don't exist yet".

Ooohh!

During an off the cuff conversation. I dropped or planted the idea to discuss a special one-off “hypothetical” M5 Touring as they have done in the past. Well I would need to purchase both M5 and a Touring and then all the additional coach work and engineering and the finishing etc. The stumbling block is that the car would need to be crash tested, meet legislation etc for a one-off. Let’s just say I won’t be specifying a one-off M5 Touring.

This is the most CS ... CS yet. They went a bit extra with this one. Hope the rumoured CSL for the M4 becomes true, they’ll go even further.

Did BMW get around to fixing the hot-vee V8’s problems?

Let's say it like this:
The N63 had lots of problems. If they ara all/mainly caused by thermal problems originating of the hot vee construction is unclear. Some say it was also affected by cost savings in certain parts
The TÜ1 was better, but by far not free of problems
Same for TÜ2.
The most recent TÜ3 seems to have fixed all/most of the problems ... but maybe it is too early for a verdict, since it is on the market for only 2,5 years.

Is this a CS without bronze wheels and grille... or just an impression (looks silver) ?
It’s the effect of the Daylight. The Wheels are actually inherited from the 35Jahre edition. But coated with a different finish. But everything else is new.

No, it's the gold/bronze/whatever they call it. Might look a bit silver-ish because of the lighting perhaps.

Looks sensational btw. Love the gold.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
