"Anti-dazzle" lights questions...

Not really clear about what they are and how they come implemented in these cars.

I believe they have something to do with being able to leave your brights on without blinding drivers of oncoming traffic. So does this mean you can leave your brights on constantly at night? Seems odd.

Also the wording on the feature and build sheets says something about this feature being "pre- wired" or "pre-coded."
Does this mean that it's not fully operational when we get the car? That something else needs to be done to make it function?

I'm confused. Can anyone shed further light on exactly what this is and whether owners have to do something else to make it operational following delivery?

In my car it is on high beam/brights modus permanently. Oncoming traffic doesn’t get blinded or dazzled. Functions really well.
PS of course one can turn it off to normal if you want, but there’s no reason to.
PPS once you enter a city or town with street lights and you drive slower than 60 km/h it switches automatically to normal light.

Are you located in the US or Europe? After poking around a bit it's my understanding that this technology has not yet been approved by the NTSB for use in the USA.

In Europe (The Netherlands). The situation in the US apparently is quite different. Maybe some of our US form members can help you out.
