I still remember the great feeling when I lowered my E38 with 20 mm. It took a lot of efforts but the final result was worth it. It looked better than all the other 7ers. And now you are telling me that 35 mm are nothing!
No, I'm not saying it's nothing, I'm saying it's bigger in all measurements, so it's not like it will look like an SUV either, those who saw it in person didn't mention that point, but the general size

So.. all stock E38's are shit because they didn't have a 20mm drop.

Noted.

The G60: the most compromise. But, at the same time, the most sacrifice 5 Series that BMW ever made.
Mild Hybrid.

Just by looking at these pics of the older 5-series interior vs new model, there is a massive contrast can be seen in the quality impression. The new model interior definitely looks cheaper and sparse compared to the previous model interior which looks alot more luxurious.

BMW has started this trend since the G20 was introduced back in late 2018 which later it spreads like a wildfire across the lineup. No matter how this model is being positioned above or below 3er, BMW made a firm decision to stop putting the trim inserts on door cards. This makes me wonder about how the product development team of the G20 has remove all the trim inserts during the last minute before the entire interior design has been signed off into a later phase.

You see this everywhere: cost savings to pay for the switch to electric. Next to that you will also notice that clients are less inclined to pay for genuine leather for which an animal has to be killed. Increased awareness which is a positive trend. I for one will never take real leather again.

As I mentioned before, a study was done very recently and they are actually willing to pay more for leather, the common denominator considers it "the" luxury item.

When done responsibly and sustainably it is much less damaging than fake, the animals are farmed for food and leather is a by-product, the narrative is compelling but not what it seems.

I do like the cashmere wool seats being offered in the 5er and 7er a lot more than the previous leathers. Very comfortable and nice to touch. Toyota knows what's up, as they've offered wool in the Century for decades even to date, although that is quite different from BMW's setup.

Yes, more than anything I like the 7 half fabric half leather, I didn't know or I didn't see photos of that spec yet in the 5 series.
Those of Toyota too and they are very characteristic.

First tour of the base model?, although with leather and wood inside. I like those 19" bicolor "industrial" wheels
I had not seen the rhombus detail of the side skirts, it reveals a few more

For me I think most of the bmw cars look way much better in the sport package than the dull looking standard one

The interior has many cheap elements in the rear seat. The front seat backs have no storage pouches for your kids ipads or phones so when you plug in the charging cable in the back of the front seats where do you put your devices? The cup holders in the rear seat armrest in the video look like they don't fold or pop out and are just part of the armrest, so you could pull the armrest down and then put your hands in the cup holders.

This Cape York green 540i looks kinda good in this colour and I added in 21inch Individual rims.

Interior white with BMW individual aksent bronze combo wood.

This is the best looking spec I've seen.
The non M-Sport front bumper has little black trim at the lower part, similar to the side skirt and rear bumper and makes the overhang look a bit shorter, and the chrome window trim also makes some distracting contrast from the top-heavy look.

Still not a fan of the G60 at all, but that is the most tolerable spec I've seen. Shame though, previous models didn't need black trims or massive wheels and contrasting trims to break up visual mass cause they didn't have much.

Despite the startling lack of pouches behind the front seats (or maybe they're just late with the production process and will make them available eventually? You're still left with the door bins, which are hopefully padded), that continuity of the color partition throughout the entire rear compartment gives it some visual cachet and arguably makes it look sportier than the XM's "M Lounge" thanks to the disguised middle seat.

Can you add this to your list?
