They have compared the previous M5 against the Taycan countless times,

The discussion was about the i5. You also specifically referred to the i5. The M5 is a whole different ball game.

but in the spicy versions of the BMW you will not deny that many people evaluate it in their own way of seeing and choose it.

I almost ordered an M5 before I ended up ordering the Taycan. There are many reasons I ended up with the Porsche, chief among them was the one hour test drive in the Taycan which blew me away.

The more I look at these Aero wheels closely. The more I realize how identical they are in terms of structure and proportions, but with various paints and graphics to differentiate each of them.

I can't refute that, just experience it when I can, I don't doubt there must be something very special about it, even though my brain continues to resist the fact because of its deep preprogramming and environment.

In a market where options are not abundant, we tend to unify (as I said before, the environment conditions you), despite the fact that I know more about this than the common denominator, I also interpret even an i5, M5 or 520i all as a 5 series, it's a bit difficult to explain, if you say here "I have a Tycan" no one will ask if it's a 4S or a turbo or anything.

That part of the 5 series is a delight for the eyes, sharp as a sword, and with the lights officiating as shark eyes, it reminds me a lot of the previous Z4 but this one is even better, It also has something from the M4 F82 in that same plane

Despite all of the design chaos and controversies, the 21" 954 Individual rims are one of the best features for the G60 (at the moment).

EDIT:

Good "natural" photos, the blue suits this particular one very well because of the nice contrast with the polished Kink

What is with that art car? Any idea why they did that to the poor thing?

My E39 is not 5 generations old, but it's still a 5er, therefore this is my opinion, as a BMW 5 Series owner:

The G60 looks big, soft, plain, cheap and not 5er enough. A 5er has a characteristic pinch line from the front fender all the way to the rear lights and looks slim and athletic. The front fender should be all wheel-well. The car should appear low, from the side profile and maintain a hint of shark nose on the front. And the rear should be sharp, as well!

The interior looks quite cheap as well. The door cards look basic, with many straight intersecting lines, that stray away from the athletic, yet properly gothic design language, typically found inside a 5er. To me it feels like the designers tried to make it almost 7er like, yet had a budget of 150€ for materials.

The interior configurator photos don't look good, but in the 4k videos it changes a lot, I think it's to see it in person, it's so different that it will take some getting used to, not that it will get prettier or uglier over the months but it will be made more "5" at least that's what it seems to me, there are certain photos in which you can see that still have a lot to discover and you can see that everything is there in a conjugated and very bold way
By size 5 is the new 7

Despite the design misgivings, I think the i5 40 will likely be an absolute dream to drive.

If there wasn't a market Mercedes and BMW wouldn't be investing millions in this, who knows even I could fall into that if you have to be charging for 20 to 30 minutes

What changed the most is the handle to open the door
Thankfully they changed the design for a final product, and I think the updated interior door handles will be applied to the upcoming G45 X3 as well.
