Reviews are reviews.
Make up your own mind I guess. I for one find it hard to believe that the i5 handles better than a Taycan. Especially given BMW's habit of engineering out any feel/feedback over the last decade or so.

No doubt it's a great car, but the superlatives being thrown around to me, is a bit questionable.
I just wish it wasn't so ugly.
Or may just be the case of people getting used to the new tech

Agreed considering it's the same length basically as a G11. Almost 2 inches longer than an E65 and wider and taller, which in my mind is still a huge car.

Pretty incredible. An E65 sure looks a lot bigger than the G60 5er in pics. I don't understand why car have gotten so much bigger in such a short time. Why.

I saw a few at the dealership this a.m. dropping the X7 off for service. It looks better IRL, especially in dark colors (they had a dark blue outside that looked good and a lighter grey that I wasn't t as fond of). The car has really grown over the years, I had an E39 which is dwarfed by this latest iteration.

Makes this E28 The size of a MINI.

Safety concerns as the structures had to become stronger and stronger. Just look how thin the pillars in an E38 are in comparison to to any BMW post 2004 onwards. All of this came to a price, though: visibility. Modern car interiors are almost like dungeons. The pillars are thick and the windows are smaller making the inside quite dark in comparison to older cars.

I always found this 2001 solution interesting and with the new materials there are things that could be done

Although the best thing is that they are lined inside with screens and that the cameras triangulate the outside showing what is behind the catch according to the location of the eyes, I already saw a prototype of this on YouTube, it won an award for inventiveness and fine-tuning the software should not be so far from becoming a reality
