The bodywork fits it a lot better than the base. Still looks a bit bloated and ungainly, but they've managed to at least make it look muscular.
Also at that price, it makes the i5 M60 completely redundant to nearly everyone except people who MUST have an EV.

Ahhhh i wanted so bad to love it.

But damn they f#cked it up.
Crazy weight
Outlandish design that ruins the 5er that I like.
Interior looks messy with those huge bucket seats.

Everything just screams heavy, massive.

Somehow they made the front better than standard while they ruined a perfect rear.

Still have some hope for the wagon, but not impressed.

This was genuinely the first bmw in ages I looked forward to. It’s my own fault.

I’m more concerned about the 2500KG kerb weight…

I think the 540i might be the pick of the bunch. Yes, 0-60 isn’t the best metric, but the 540i manages it in under a second more for a car that would possibly start at half the price. Add about 400-500kgs less in weight, better dynamically. Now THAT is a value proposition.

I fear that BMW is having it’s C63 moment :/

The designers could have left the battery compartment area blacked out like the M-Package models.
Adding body color adds a lot of meat in the lower area. It also should have gotton the traditional grill. The proportions look off..
