Exactly, that’s the joke from BMW, that the entry level car from MB looks better than the larger and more expensive SUV...So the cheap FWD GLA now is a better looking car than the X3? What a joke, what a joke! Why are people even comparing this to the iX3? It's a different class, and we'll have to wait for the iX1 or whatever to compare the two.
Back on topic, without dragging BMW into this all the time..... that AMG-style fake front bumper is something to behold. The next thing after fake exhausts? Maybe....
Don’t you think companies gotta start somewhere? It’s like saying liquid fuel rockets are obsolete because in the future we will have warp drive....It's obsolete. Any EV that has a lithium ion battery pack is obsolete now, especially Tesla's shamelessly outdated line-up. The future is solid state battery and hopefully hydrogen fuel cell.
Would you enlighten us in what way exactly the solid state batteries are better than the LiIo batteries that will be on the market when they are finally launched. Price? Range? Longevity? According to some experts the new 4680 battery by Tesla achieves the parameters of a solid state battery but with much longer longevity. It's obsolete. Any EV that has a lithium ion battery pack is obsolete now, especially Tesla's shamelessly outdated line-up. The future is solid state battery and hopefully hydrogen fuel cell.
All 4 are ugly, btw. Cheers!
I think it looks great. Much better than the EQC, iX3 or etron. Its nice, cute little suv.
Apparently the GLA and B are selling like crazy.
So if the price is good enough it might be a success unlike the glc which has a price atleast 20-30k to high for what it is.
Well the GLA and the GLC are very good looking, great proportions especially on these pictures. The EQC and EQA are not as good looking as their ICE siblings, but the EQC looks much better in life than on pictures, and there is a chance the EQA will be as well. On the other hand both the EQC and the EQA can be called ugly, but please show me better looking EV alternatives, inside out, built quality, and everything put together. Tesla beats everyone in range, but their built quality and interiors suck seriously. So what else then? All 4 are ugly, btw. Cheers!
But they are incomparable. It's like to compare the Fiat 500 to BMW 7er.I think it looks great. Much better than the EQC, iX3 or etron.

Why didn’t you name some BEV hypercar as well in your list? How the hell can anyone compare the Taycan to the EQA? Would you compare the Panamera to the GLA? Why are we talking about concepts? EQS concept looks out of this world, yet the production version won’t look 100% like that, what do you expect then from smaller companies producing cheaper cars? Please....What? Better looking than the EQ line up? I can think of several examples. Taycan looks way better and it also a better EV. Spy pics of the Macan EV also look better proportions wise. e-tron GT looks so much better, as does the rest of the Audi EVs. I would put the VW ID3 and ID4 on that list also.
You also see great EV concepts out there from less premium brands. Renault 5 and Megane EVs look quite great. The Fiat 500 EV looks awesome...
So yep, IMO MB and BMW are among the brands which are making the least interesting looking EVs.

Sorry, I would be happy to but I won’t answer such a long post in detail... I stated my views clearly, these things don’t change much. As a package, as a car, I still believe the EQA offers more than any current alternative. It’s range is decent, it’s actually almost as much as the EQC, the design is subjective of course, but I like it, especially in a more traditional spec as seen in the post above. For this price you get the same customization as with most Mercedes, and a great interior with great software. All this put together I can’t find a better EV for this price. Talking about concepts and future models as competition does not stand, let’s see them first, see their specs and then compare, judge.Maybe I need to highlight the initial phrase of my post: "What? Better looking than the EQ line up?". We are all aware here the Panamera and the GLA are pretty different cars. I was just talking about how ugly the EQ design language is. Which applies to every car on the line up cause, as MB does these days, they all look way too similar.
The EQC only has the iX3 and the e-tron to compare it with. Both look better than the MB. Which is sad, since I would not say the X3 looks necessarily better than the GLC. BMW only makes a weird change on the X3 grille and adds some questionable blue accents. MB changes the entire GLC's front and rear ends for the worse with the EQC. In the coming months the Q4 and ID4 will join the segment. Both look better than the EQC as well.
The EQA has no direct competitor. Does not matter. Same philosophy applies: EQ design language makes the ICE car worse looking. It's not that the GLA looks great. It's quite a standard car IMO, hard to turn your head to look at it when it goes by on the street. But the changes MB has done to the GLA for the EQA are just bad changes. They make the car look worse.
EQS now? We have not seen much, since the car has camo still, but there are some weird proportions going on there. Plus its front end reminds me to the Nissan Leaf and still has that silly one-piece rearlight that is far from looking good. Definitely worse looking than the S-Class. Here the Taycan also looks way better in my eyes. Or the Audi e-tron GT.
So yep, quite hard to argue there are no better alternatives to the EQ line up. Which is also why I have mentioned concept cars (not like the R5 looks sooo concept car-ish, but...) or other EVs which do not screw the ICE design, like the Fiat 500.
Which is the decent range? The WLTP one? With 15 kWh energy consumption per 100 km with an asynchronous motor? Dream on. This car won't be able to cover 300 km in a real world test.Sorry, I would be happy to but I won’t answer such a long post in detail... I stated my views clearly, these things don’t change much. Sure, let’s wait and see the real numbers and don’t just guess around. Again, as with everyone else, what’s your alternative?Which is the decent range? The WLTP one? Oh please...lol... is it a unique feature of the EQA, or Mercedes EVs? so bad arguments..., I wonder you don’t feel shame to post such an ignorant post...And test it in the summer please, because right now you can take off another 75 km due to cold weather.
