Tough crowd. The interior was also black, so what color hood would be more suitable?

Definitely not my preferred combo, but it looked so imposing in the flesh.

I spotted this one yesterday:

Beautiful

The S Convertible seems to be quite popular around the world, is it not? Anyone know how it has been selling? I just can't see Mercedes not redesigning it.

I don't think the sales volume can justify the R&D that goes into it.

Sure,it would be a pity, but there're too many cabrio in MB's portfolio, the next SL would fill up S cabrio's spot.

They couldn't even be bothered to design the new HD headlights to fit the coupe and cabriolet for the facelift.... which I thought was really strange. My dealer did just mention to me though that it may still get the new headlights, which I also found a bit untypical....

Still bedazzled by the S coupe Concept. It is still a beautiful looking coupe and sad the production version will be killed off this year

Yeah it's the best looking Mercedes since the Sacco cars went out of production.

What a beautiful and amazing car it's so sad that they going to stop this car I just hope the next SL fills the gap somehow.

If the SL is a stunner, a real return to form I won’t mind this car going away as much. I just can’t see Mercedes not having a stunning 2 door at the top of the range to match the S Class. It’s not right.

A S63 Cabriolet is still my first car to buy with a sudden windfall. It’s still my #1 Mercedes.

M

It is one of the most beautiful Mercedes cars ever made and that is not a small statement.

Still bedazzled by the S coupe Concept. It is still a beaut...

The S Coupe Concept was-and remains-immaculate. The C217 an interesting example of how the very slightly nuanced elements of "alteration" vis-a-vis its' original concept can have detrimental results. The S Coupe Concept unconditionally fascinates me to this very day.

The S65 AMG Cabrio is also an amazing and stunning car. Imagine driving in this thing with the top down and give it floor to the metal. What a beauty.

Not sure what the bean counters at Daimler are smoking. First they neuter all their coupes/ cabrios by deleting the fire breathing AMG option and then they cancel the flagship and the face of the brand, introduce arguably the worst looking four door jump back monstrosity in existence and call it a day. I’m genuinely perplexed.

let this sink in for a second.. the GLE/GLS class has three eight cylinder options in the US ... THREE!! The CLS and E coupe have ZERO!!!!!!!!

At least BMW still has the balls (and clientele) to support 8 cylinder motors in their more appealing products

Maybe with S63 Coupe/Cabrio out and next gen CLS being merged with GT 4 door, we can finally see E63 Coupe?
