7 Series [Official] The BMW 7 Series LCI

The BMW 7 Series is a full-size luxury sedan manufactured and marketed by the German automaker BMW since 1977. It is the successor to the BMW E3 "New Six" sedan. The 7 Series is BMW's flagship car and is only available in a sedan bodystyle (including long wheelbase and limousine models). It traditionally introduces technologies and exterior design themes before other models in BMW's lineup.

Drove it for three days and 2,000km over the weekend. Really pleased to have one last go in it before the G11 arrives. Hopefully it won't be too long before I get to try the G11, but my overwhelming feeling after the weekend was that the F01 is far from "old". It felt modern (thanks to the full black panel multifunction display) and still handles like a two tonne vehicle has no right to handle.

I'll update the fuel figures as soon as my data has been collated.

Betty, just out of curiosity; do you rent these for work, or is this a weekend hobby. Either way, I love reading your reviews! Keep 'em coming.

On another note, how does this compare to the W222?

Just my own interest in driving as many different cars as possible.

Given the choice I would still take the W222, but I've only driven that once. It did feel like the S-Class occupied that territory in-between the 7 Series/A8 level and the ultra-luxurious level occupied by Bentley and RR.

The A8 though is seriously behind the 7 Series in my opinion. On every level too. Handling, ergonomics, sense of occasion.
