Model 3 [Official] Tesla Model 3

The Tesla Model 3 is a battery electric powered mid-size sedan with a fastback body style built by Tesla, Inc., introduced in 2017. The vehicle is marketed as being more affordable to more people than previous models made by Tesla. The Model 3 was the world's top-selling plug-in electric car for three years, from 2018 to 2020, before the Tesla Model Y, a crossover SUV based on the Model 3 chassis, took the top spot. In June 2021, the Model 3 became the first electric car to pass global sales of 1 million.
The steering wheel looks like an upgrade over the current one.
I don't know, I see it as any of the ones that have been hanging around in any car for years, nothing special from that perspective

Not bad at all. Looks better and faster

Tesla Model 3 “Highland” To Be Revealed By Musk In China Today: Report

The updated Model 3 is reportedly “slightly longer and sportier” than before.

Tesla will give an early glimpse of the facelifted Model 3 “Highland” in Shanghai, as part of Elon Musk’s visit to China this week, according to a report published by Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter.

As per the source, the first cars coming off the production line at the carmaker’s Shanghai Gigafactory today are prototypes of the revamped Model 3, which is “slightly longer and sportier” than the current version and “has a sleeker interior design.”

A rumor that started circulating last month said that the EV maker will start trial production of the revamped Model 3 at its Shanghai manufacturing facility on June 1, but Tesla China reportedly denied the information.

With this being said, it’s worth noting that the Chinese division of the American EV brand has denied some rumors in the past that still ended up being true. Furthermore, during last month’s shareholders' meeting, Elon Musk said that the company is working on launching two new products, hinting that one of these is already being built:

“I just want to emphasize that we are actually building a new product, we are actually designing a new product, we’re not sitting on our hands here,” said the CEO.

The Tesla Model 3 facelift known as Project “Highland” has been in the works for almost a year, and while the carmaker hasn’t officially announced that a refresh is coming for the all-electric sedan, numerous spy photos and videos point to the idea that the Austin-based brand is up to something. There’s also the internet-famous photo of an uncovered Tesla Model 3 that appears to be wearing a redesigned front bumper and new headlights.

The Model 3 has been in production without any major updates since 2017, so launching a facelifted version would be more than welcome six years on, especially in the context of tough competition in China from local brands like BYD.

Besides the exterior cosmetic changes, Project “Highland” is expected to bring a redesigned interior, along with a simplified manufacturing process that’s supposed to use fewer parts and lower costs.

As always, we’d like to know what you think about this latest development regarding the facelifted Tesla Model 3, so head over to the comments section below to give us your thoughts.

I've never really looked at the Model 3, but I have to admit I like the exterior look (the interior is too "toy-like" for me) and the performance seems to be spot on for the price.
Next week the refreshed 3 Model should come. And it will be kind of fresh looking

They said it's like McLaren's MSO program? I see.🙂

It's both an upgrade and a downgrade exterior and interior wise.
Here are the downgrades I noticed:
No fog lights
No air curtains (which makes me think current Model 3 is more slippery and Tesla is bullishiting with that claim.)
No rear climate zone controls?
No stalks
No wood
1 less USB port in the front

Things added/upgrades:
Ventilated seats
Less bezzels on the screen
Rear screen
More softer materials?
Change in rear seat position
Ambient lighting
New way storage opens
New design overall
New wheels (terrible design compared to old ones)
2 new colors
Supposedly longer range with the same motors and batteries
More controls in A/C
More speakers
Same price as before

Nice one Tesla!
Other functional visual tweaks include the introduction of aero-optimised wheel designs, said to be 5% slipperier, and 'improved' tyre sidewalls for the 18in or 19in wheels, which enhance cushioning while reducing road noise - the latter assisted by the introduction of double-glazed windows all around and new suspension and seal rubbers.
