Phantom [Official] Rolls-Royce Phantom (VIII)

Rolls-Royce has used the Phantom name on full-sized luxury cars and limousines since 1925, making it the longest used car model nameplate in automotive history. In the 20th century, the Rolls-Royce Phantom was a very low volume, hand-built limousine, which in its first four generations was custom coachbuilt to the customer's requests, and sometimes extravagant desires. Whilst automobile manufacturing over time became more mechanised and prolific, and vehicles from other manufacturers could be built in greater numbers and at lower prices, the Phantoms remained hand-built, and production of individual cars only began once the order was placed. The use of the name "Phantom" is a long tradition of naming Rolls-Royce models after ghosts or spirits.

A sound proofing divider was overdue. Things to use it for:

1. Have cocaine fuel eclectic sex on the rear bench.
2. Force business associate to sign over shares at gun point.
3. Drive the car and put your noisy kids in the back.
4. Subscribe to a Hatton Gardens safety deposit box for storing cash, diamonds and title deeds to properties your soon to be a divorced wife doesn't know about.

The Maybach could even be equipped with external microphones so that you, at the press of a button could listen to what people standing right outside the car are discussing.

It would be cool if they could remotely disable it like a Tesla. Actually they probably still should be able to with BMW Assist. Not that I'd expect an OEM to get involved with politics...

Disgusting, just disgusting. SMH.

EWB too, like a “bawse”. I’m 99.99% sure that it’s bulletproof too, so like el Présidente’s Caddy, it’s among the heaviest saloons on the road.

I gotta say, as a supreme dictator... this is a pretty good choice in a twisted way, next step after the S-class. Style points obligatory.

You think they would have trouble to find somebody to override "remotely disable button"?

Tesla can remotely brick the car to the point where it’s not going anywhere no matter what. BMW Assist, perhaps there’d be a workaround.

With a physique like that, I am sure he literally "rolls" into his Phantom?

BTW, is that the Phantom VIII or the previous gen?

It's the previous generation. The big giveaway is that, on the previous generation, the wheel arches are flared and nearly touch the side character line, which you can see pretty clearly in the picture. Additionally, the chrome window trim around the C-Piller is layered/multi part. On the Phantom VIII, that chrome trim is a single piece, and the wheel arches are more squared off, with the character line terminating before the rear door.
