Last year Audi A4 and A6 were the best seller luxury sedans across Europe beating 3 and 5 series.

Also in Germany A6 outsells both 5 series and E class while A4 is second behind 3 series.

In UK Audi is second behind BMW but has overtaken Mercedes in the last two years.

I heard that the reason for the weight of the R8 is down to the fact that Audi have given the green light for a light weight R8 to compete with the GT3 types. When this model will see the light of day is anyone's guess.

BMW sells more executive saloons dan any of the others.
Audi sells more sports coupes/roadsters than the others
Audi sells more compacts than the others
Mercedes sells more uber luxury cars than the others.

Im not sure of the e-class, A6 and 5er sit, but I do know the A6 outsells the 5er and e-class in germany and china.

BMWs success is down to the 3er.

The bolded part is made up by you right? No way Audi sells more sportscars than BMW and MB...they only have the TT (and soon a low volume R8). Plus nobody in the U.S wants an Audi I believe. 3er sells so much more than A4 in the U.S

The R8 is bound to have one of the most amazing line-ups, imo: V8 high revving, V10 Lambo monster and insane V12 diesel power (let's hope )

Yeah that pic of it in Black is almost too awesome for words. Now I hope that Audi gets the next A4 down like this. That is far more important in the U.S. market than the R8.
