The Boxster and Cayman are exceptional. Only those who have never driven either would discredit them a poor man's Porsche.

This car is deliberately retarded in order not to hurt the sales of the holy cow 911. Its layout allows it to use all that is available from the 911 (except the all-wheel drive) but if they mount the 4.0L 500 HP in it, it would demolish the bigger brother dynamically.

Got offered to take the new boxster gts out on a spin today.

Now it’s all fun and games to talk loud and talk E63S vs M5 and gt3s and gt2s..

This car was so much fun, so agile so responsive, it just floored me. What more do you need ? It leaves most of the traffic in the dust, it moves like a viper snake and it’s just to much fun for around 70k.

Exhaust sound was epic, the looks you get if that’s important to you are more attention than you will need. Had some kids shouting at me asking if it’s a Ferrari or Lamborghini.

Just an epic little thing, low fast and mean.

I jumped into my e class and it felt like a damn tractor both the performance and the seating position.

Our 2015 981 Guards Red Cayman GTS has been garaged the past year and only driven on weekends. So mileage at 32,000Km's will only climb about 2,000Km's/year now. It is fantastic. We went to Porsche and test drove the 718 Boxster S again, thinking of trading the Cayman GTS on the new 718. We had to be honest with ourselves. As brutally quick as the 718 is, it left us both feeling a little cold. And very happy we didn't trade in our 981. Going to keep it for another year!
