My respect for Porsche has now doubled.
This car is not a 718 GT4 with a detuned GT3 engine.

Porsche has gone to town with an engine airbox sharing the cabin with the driver, unique front wings but most importantly..........it's not a limited production car. At £108k it's £20k cheaper than a GT3 which unlike the 911GTS makes it a more like for like alternative.

The GT4 RS is the full fat Cayman that we have all be asking for and it's reasonable price. Porsche last mid engined NA car was the CGT launched almost 20 years ago in 2004.

Who'd ever imagined that the itty bitty lil 'ol Cayman would end up being one of the best driver's cars around.

I love that noise. I may lose my hearing faster, but what a way to go*.

*EDIT: Ha! Was watching this while posting, and Saunders pretty much intimated the same sentiment. Porsche may be the only brand that I care about these days. They are just killing it.

Porsche is absolutely the German standard and still an industry standard/benchmark. Their products live up to their billing and they have created a money making business that seemingly knows no bounds. Once they master EVs, they'll need a bigger piggy bank. They don't have a dud in their lineup, and everything is at the top of the class or the class leader. I wish, wish, wish, wish Mercedes-Benz operated at this level, again.
