I wonder if it will get the GT3's new double-wishbone front suspension but I suspect Porsche will save that for future iterations.

Wonder if the launch color will be a gray? The previous GT3 RS the seat was color coded to the launch color.

Given GT4 still has strut suspension in the rear, I think chance are not. Also a good way to keep GT3 above in the pecking order, especially if GT4 RS gets the GT3 engine.
I wonder if it might get a previous gen GT3 engine, otherwise everyone will just get a remap.

Possibly, or maybe the 991.1/997.2 RS.
991.1 and 997 GT cars completely different engines.

997 GT cars had Mezger engines. It is long done.

991.1 GT engines had issues. I doubt they are bringing that back either.

Cause of the 991.1 issues, they made a new one for 991.2. GT cars. The Speedster (and last set of 991.2 RS in Europe) and got an updated variation of that engine with ITBs and particle filters to pass EU6 or 7. An updated version of that is what is in the 992 GT3. So they are all really the same engine. Does the car have some version of of those or an updated version of the 9A2 Evo in the GT4? I don't know. What is obvious from the videos, the car is GT3 fast in a straight line, so can't be too far from the GT3 power wise.

On the main straight it seems a little down on straight-line speed.
Both hits 286. The GT3 hits it a little before. At the same spot where GT3 is doing 285, the GT4 RS is doing 282. The GT4 also backs out earlier. I think there might be a driver skill/commitment difference between the two laps.

It's logical that 982's GT4 RS car is in the region of 992's GT3 car in terms of performance. GT3 RS will be another step up. Sunny, have you ever considered getting a 982 GT4 PDK?

Not really. If I get a GT4 again, it will probably be an old 981. Cause I miss my old one and was best value when it comes to Porsche.

I reckon all the replacement I really could need for my 981 is a Cayman GTS 4.0 PDK. That 4.0 9A2 EVO engine - despite the aural neutering of OPF at low rpm - just works so well in that little 982 body. Everyone wants the GT4, especially to look at! But, I believe the GTS 4.0 is the more liveable, broader repertoire choice as a road car. I need to drive GTS 4.0 and GT4 back to back on familiar roads to make an informed opinion, though.
