Huayra [Official] Pagani Huayra

The Pagani Huayra, a successor to the Pagani Zonda, was initially revealed online in a press release on 25 January 2011. It was officially revealed at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The car is named after the Quechua god of wind, Huayra-tata. The engine is a 6.0-litre twin-turbo M158 V12 engine from Mercedes-AMG producing 544 kW (740 PS; 730 hp) and 1,000 N⋅m (740 lb⋅ft) of torque. The Huayra's body is made from carbotanium; a lightweight composition of carbon fibre and titanium. The Huayra has been redesigned from the ground up, but shares many visual qualities with its predecessor. The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 235 mph (378 km/h). Only 100 units of the Huayra were produced, each costing £1,000,000 (1.05 million US$) without options.

It's a true exotic in the sense that it doesnt have to abide to any family branding identity. It's its own car. The shape and sculpturing reminds me of the Alfa Romeo 8C which at first appears odd in photographs compared with the similar proportioned but very handsome V8 Vantage. But in real life and in many photographs the 8C makes an impression the Vantage cannot emulate. The Huarya possess the same amazement.

I cant wait until you guys see it..i remember the zonda..and one after another came on and praised it..

Im willing to bet my membership on this forum ..that jaws will drop!!!:D

First Impression: Pagani Huayra

Most interesting part:

The future for Pagani looks bright. The order book is filled for at least two years, the Asian and US markets are keen to receive the new hypercar and the first production model of the Huayra is planned to leave the factory before the end of this year. First road tests start after the Geneva Auto Salon in March where two new exterior and interior trims will be released to the public.

PS
I envy this guy so much.. 25 year old Cheif Test Driver for pagani.. ahh what a dream life!!!

The knee-jerk like gear changes remind me of the old SMG transmissions. Is the transmission in the Huayra a single clutch?

^ Yep its a single clutch Xtrac gear box specially made for the huayra and the huge torque..
pagani said he could get a decent engine for the price they payed for that gearbox..
He decided against the dual clutch as it added 70kg more to the car, in the end the single clutch system made the car faster..

Artist, you're like the Maestro of Pagani Videos. LOL

BTW, in that last video, can anyone tell me where I can get that awesome Gulf jacket?
