GT-R [Official] Nissan GT-R NISMO 2014

The Nissan GT-R (Gran Turismo–Racing; model code: R35) is a series of cars built by Nissan from 2007 to 2025. It has a 2+2 seating layout and is considered both a sports car and a grand tourer. The engine is front-mid mounted and drives all four wheels. It succeeds the Nissan Skyline GT-R, a high-performance variant of the Nissan Skyline. The car is built on the PM platform, derived from the FM platform used in the Skyline and Nissan Z models. Production is conducted in a shared production line at Nissan's Tochigi plant in Japan.
Wonder if there'll be a Z-Tune.

Much of the Z-Tune was about bringing over elements of the GT500 race car and a big power hike... these days the NISMO isn't that much less powerful than the GT500 car already, the engine in which is totally different. I don't think it's a recipe that would work again... if they do do a run of Z-Tunes I can imagine it'd be a cosmetic badge job, and I'd imagine it would be extremely poor value for money!

Stealth grey look extremely purple.

More relevantly.

The R35 Godzilla will apparently go out with a 710-bhp bang in 2022 when Nissan is rumoured to introduce a Final Edition. It will be nearly 15 years old by then, and this swan song is expected to be a limited-run affair capped at approximately 20 units. If that horsepower count seems familiar, that’s because the special model will allegedly use the same powertrain as the GT-R50 by Italdesign and its mighty 575 pound-feet (780 Newton-metres) of torque.

I think it has to be said at this point that 710hp in a 1700kg car isn't that special next to a nearly 700hp (unofficially) 992 Turbo S, especially when the Porsche is half the price of the Nissan and 50kg lighter.

Something the GT-R still does well - taking things to ridiculous extremes.

PS: Check out the airflow off the wing at 12:50.
