It is one of the last remaining details that gives us any clue of its brand-identity.Can't say I hate nor love it. It's not that bad actually although the tail lights could have been less VW-ish(the rings).
VW is desperate to be recognized as a lifestyle brand. There are no lifestyle products without real lifestyle brand behind. And VW is definitely not a lifestyle brand. Period.
It is one of the last remaining details that gives us any clue of its brand-identity.
the csl and e class are style wise two totally different worlds.^ Does the CLS has any "advantage" over a normal E class?
This car will not be purchased with any consideration of an "advantage" --- this is purely about offering a "lifestyle product" ...a slightly more exclusive variation of a mainstream product. It is more about personal style choice than anything practical.
You don't?.... i simply don't see vw buyers as people that like to focus on design ques
.......why is that? Thanks for your thoroughly unbiased views MBZ Fan.Totally bland!I am far from being at least 0.(00000.....000001)% interested in this car!Sorry to tell you, VW, but you aren't even close to the beautiful and charming lines of the Mercedes-Benz CLS!Only another boring car from Wolfsburg...
That's my confusion with VW these days.
They don't seem to know what kind of car manufacturer they are supposed to be anymore -- they want to be recognized as a luxury car manufacturer but still want to build cars that compete with Honda Civics. Their design department seems completely lost ....I guess they reflect the identity crisis going on with the marque in general.
just look at the sales of the vw golf, its design was outdated since the day it has been released - never the less, its leading the several sales statistics in europeYou don't?.......why is that?

What did I say?For God's sake!It was only an opinion...![]()

Hmm, OK ...but I think in the increasingly sophisticated and image-conscious global market we now live in, consumers are increasingly demanding products which can compliment their "personal style" or "lifestyle" -- this would apply to most VW customers as much as a BMW/Audi/Mercedes-Benz customer.just look at the sales of the vw golf, its design was outdated since the day it has been released - never the less, its leading the several sales statistics in europe
the proportions of the vw passat a far from well done and its styling gues seem to be "influenced" by some other german car makers - still, it sells pretty good
i hope that de silva is bringing some change ... we will see ... you already see in the passat coupe some touch ups that would have helped the original sedan(the surfaces on the car are far better worked out)
This pic shows more of the front. I think it makes the car look a bit better in my eyes.![]()

its true of course, but i don't think that a passat coupe is a way to fullfill this request, but we will seeWhat did I say?
....just relax, I don't have any issues with your opinion at all

For me it looks just eaven more as a regular boring and chepa vw passat, (good I hate that name) PASSAT
Tragic car.. I do not think this will increse sales by verty much..
I think if they had made a more EOS version it would be slick.. this is just S***!
