We will see at the end of this year as they are, it will be its first full year and 2025...., which I do not doubt will improve its share against the G11 vs the S-Class for the first time in a long time, that is what matters against the "king"
Do it, express yourself, don't hold backI was going to write the same. Don't help the cancer spread.
It will be way over 100k.So 0-62mph in 4.0sec in real life then for probably $/EUR100,000. Lol
Nothing means anything, its all arbitrary. It will be way over 100k.
My guess is around 120k starting price
By the way , this all naming is such a mess.
E53 AMG has 612hp
CLE53 AMG coupe has 472hp
AMG GT53 4door has 457hp
GLE53 has 585hp
EQE53 has 625hp
EQS53 has 658hp
Does that 53 even mean anything ?!
Bring back the old days when the badge actually related to the engine size. An E63 with a 6.3-liter engine definitely sounds more beefier than an E63 with a 4ltr engine.Nothing means anything, its all arbitrary.
Same applies to BMW.
Ever since the x00 or x0i stopped being a representation of displacement, it just stopped meaning anything.
Its now just a tier of product.
E200 is the bottom
E300 is the middle
E450 is the upper Middle
E53 is the lesser AMG
E63 is the full AMG
520i is the bottom
530i is the middle
540i is the upper middle
550e is the upper upper middle
i5 M60 is the lesser M car
M5 is the full M car
Confusingly the M60 ICE cars replaces the M50 models, but has the same power. Meanwhile the 50e replaces the 50i but has less power.
Its all a bunch of arbitrary nonsense.
You've become too old and inflexible my friend. Thing is, so have I LOL!Bring back the old days when the badge actually related to the engine size. An E63 with a 6.3-liter engine definitely sounds more beefier than an E63 with a 4ltr engine.
It would make more sense to name the E300 to E260 (relating to HP rating of 260PS rather than base only on a middle spec engine car). The E450 will be E380.
BMW 530i can be a BMW 526i lol. BMW 540i will be BMW 538i.
So using horsepower for badge numbering, then BMW and Mercedes will really have to increase the power of its models to match their badges.
The E300 will have a power boost to a 300PS engine.
The BMW 540i will have a power boost to a 400PS engine.
Do it, express yourself, don't hold back
We old friends hanging out together lol. Nowadays a E300 doesn't sound so impressive as an E200 as they use the same damn engine!! Lol.You've become too old and inflexible my friend. Thing is, so have I LOL!
But very seriously your right ofcourse.
I agree, I think the badge should match the Horsepower figures.Bring back the old days when the badge actually related to the engine size. An E63 with a 6.3-liter engine definitely sounds more beefier than an E63 with a 4ltr engine.

In any case, as you yourself indicate, it is not so arbitrary in the end, "Its now just a tier of product" at least it means something, but not what it meant for us, which was the "best" meaning. Its all a bunch of arbitrary nonsense.
That icon was built with merit and it hurts a little that they diluted it, but like so many others, I think they fell prey to the regulations that forced them to change it and prostitute the nomenclature, perhaps also to the increase in variants in models. It was much more impressive with the 1985 W124, the 300E had a 3.0 inline 6,
Its arbitrary because they could pick any number to signify "low, medium, high"In any case, as you yourself indicate, it is not so arbitrary in the end, "Its now just a tier of product" at least it means something, but not what it meant for us, which was the "best" meaning.
I agree, but they play on the nostalgia of association with the deep-rooted previous nomenclature, for the new generation of young people (2035), who will buy only EV's I suppose they will only be something distant, letters and numbers without a place in their time (well, the letter will always continue (segment) I think)Its arbitrary because they could pick any number to signify "low, medium, high"
Could be E150, E280 and E350, or E300, E400 and E500.
The actual numbers don't matter any more.
Which will be a $160-180K E class. Let that sink inmaybe the S63 powerplant for the E63!
HowF'ing LMAO. An old school midsize ICE car weighs 2000 kg at Mercedes these days.
E450d.... hahaha I wonder how many they are going to sell. Luckily I have 10 fingers so I can keep track.
