Tell that to the new C63. But yeah I should call it yacht rather than boat.
Not even the most disappointing reviews said it drove like a boat, despite its weight and other flaws.

, BMWs are also giving it better "use" in the sense that they apply it better, in a more forceful way.
It's crazy how the time flies because both W212 and F10 are currently being the grandfather of the newest W214 and G60. This makes the W211 and E60 the great grandfather of their current generations which are two decades apart.I looks fantastic in everyday traffic. Nice to see it next to its granddad (W212) at the end of the video.
I agree, I wasn't referring to the all black grills but just the others with chrome that stand out better over a larger area of gloss black than the E-ClassYeah, it’s forcefully ugly. I think the black grille looks bad on both the 5-series (the lower portion is hideous) and 7-series M Sport. The 7-series looks dramatically better without the black grille.
At least it will be a straight line missile.Way too much. The disappointment with this hybrid nonsense is deep.

It's truly a beautiful car, come on AMG show us the 53 and 63 variants!
Good lord, look at the profile on those tires. pothole hell.
Guy sounds like someone doing a bad impersonation. I vant to pump u up.
I am just over big 4-doors with stupid, honkin' power. I don't feel like white-knuckling a car that's anything bigger than an M3. An E-class with smooth linear power delivery from a straight six and nice ride is what I'd want for my cranky old arse.I couldn’t care less for those AMG variants. As long it’s not a V8, AMG is over and done with. Reduced to a (very) expensive badge.

I still like big saloons with absurd power, but I don‘t want it to scream “Power”! Give me a civil non-AMG V8 anytime, like a W211 E500 or E400 CDI. No one could see it, but you knew what was under the bonnet and enjoyed it. A bit like “a gentleman enjoys and is silent”.I am just over big 4-doors with stupid, honkin' power. Could not agree more. Bigger ISN’T always better. I think I have found my happy place.. B segment cars with anything over 300-350hp. Mercedes is indeed at risk, cost cutting it to death. By the way, expected starting price for a bare E200 will be around € 60.000-€ 63.000. I expect the I6 cylinder E class to start at around € 80.000. With a few extras well into six figures. The E certsinly look nice, but the major step down in perceived quality vs a S class is ridiculous. The plastic lower bumber, fake exhaust tips that are not even pretending to be real, the plastic in the steering wheel, seat hearest, etc… just makes you not want to spend $75k on a car. Is there even hope for the AMG to fix some of these?
Speaking of which, do we stand a chance of seeing a V8 on this generation? I imagine the pressure from BMW having a v8 in their M5 should push them in that direction.
