I may suggest that you simply do not respond. At all. I suspect that most members who have been placed on "ignore lists" will eventually get the message that they are being ignored and their existence on these forums is no longer being acknowledged by the person who has placed them on the list. Who needs senseless discourse after all ?

Unfortunately there are also other consequences to placing people on an "ignore list", such as being unable to see any thread that person starts, which can be a problem if it happens to be something like a new car thread.

I may suggest that you simply do not respond. At all. I suspect that most members who have been placed on "ignore lists" will eventually get the message that they are being ignored and their existence on these forums is no longer being acknowledged by the person who has placed them on the list. Who needs senseless discourse after all ?

It just creates an echo chamber for the person who is unable to cope with a different point of view, or when someone challenges your flawed argument, like when I challenged you. When I asked you to explain the Salman Rushdie quote you posted, because it seemed out of context, and completely misunderstood, rather than being able to, you just took the easy answer and put me on your ignore list, which seems a bit pathetic.

I don't think is "negativity" . More like , people not accepting thoughts about something that it's not about them or something of them....

There are lot's of topics on this forum with mostly negative feedback regarding some car or another.

But nobody triggers. And that's the point.

The only issue with this topic is that bimmer fluffy guys don't accept someone else's opinion . They take it personally. Toooo damn personally. (also the same applies for MB fluffs )

And from here , debates start. Insults . Bla bla bla

And by the end of the day , it's a piece of plastic and metal that makes us people fight for...nothing...

To say that they are plastic and metal is to greatly underestimate the fact that we are all here and the cars themselves, I am not in vacuum cleaner forums for example.

I've already read that somewhere before, on a serious note, It's just that some like to troll, there are two kinds of trolling, the one that seeks to make fun without attacking and with a certain context and the one that is annoying that you would kick out of your house.

This is just awful. Surprisingly enough this car looks better in lighter colors or in a dark matte finish, but these Rolls-Royce paint schemes just don't work on a BMW. They aren't supposed to work on a BMW.

I must admit to liking that two-tone "Karl Lagerfeld" E32 7er with the period E34 M5 turbine-style rims.

Oh , come on... There are just 2 , maximum 3 guys that go around this. That Leyland guy , and that Special one .

The rest , myself included , just write our feelings about this car. Positive and negative.

And by the way, just look at the W222 and W223 SPIED topics. "BMW clan" was NOT ONLY spamming , but also being HYPOCRITE TO THE MOON !

And , althought I don't want to repeat this old story again , because this users are pretty much non worthy of it , I will post here the proof that one of them was not only trolling , but also being hypocrite , just to deny your point regarding the "one army to rule them all" :

I have one small request , if possible: JUST IGNORE ME . As I ignore you . And klier. I don't reply to him for some time . I won't reply to you anymore(this is an exception). Both of you are a bunch of hypocrites . So , feel free to ignore me. It's easy. Be smart

I'll grant you the endless pictures are wholly unnecessary, but I do think you've stuck your head in the sand if you have no recognition that this type of relentlessly negative posting existed in the W223 or EQS threads. Go back to when the leak of the black W223 occurred.

Regardless, just because the behavior occurred in one thread doesn't mean we have to recreate the same dynamic elsewhere.
