We will probably see more live photographs from Cannes in the coming weeks. Good promotion. Right at the clientele who will purchase this car to driven if not as much to drive themselves. There are a lot of Parisians who retain a driver and who don’t drive in Paris who venture over to Cannes and the Riviera around this time.

Personally I don't mind the behemoth length or the cinder block profile per se -- those can look all right if the entire package is well proportioned and sitting on a generously sized wheelset... And that's where it hurts: even the largest available stock wheels (21") look tiny against that sheer amount of mass, at least on photo.

Those gunmetal grey 22" M Performance accessory wheels have a stunning design, especially coupled with the matte grey paintjob, but they're getting to a point where the tire sidewall is slimmer than the wheelarch brim and that looks super weird. Those thick brims are certainly meant to alleviate some of the body's visual mass and refocus it around the wheels, but it doesn't work properly if the wheels themselves aren't large enough. A 1-2 inch greater tire diameter would probably fix the issue, but then perhaps the ride height, the aero and the handling would be compromised, so it's likely a no solution problem. Hopefully the vehicle overall looks impressive enough in real life that the undersized wheels aren't the first thing that springs to mind.

I think I've read the upcoming 5 series will be relatively tame and vanilla compared to the G70 in terms of styling.
I also read it, but let me doubt it a lot, it won't be so in your face, but it will have all the good news and it will be different enough from the previous ones to surprise

Oh. I guess I'll see the car again at the Kentucky Derby this weekend. For what it's worth it doesn't look great in those photos. Hmm.

WOW, in the second photo the car belongs to that environment and the building belongs to the car, majestic

The wheels that it has are different from those that the car has of the same color in almost all the photos, they are similar but these fit better, I had not seen them before

In the first photo (the black 7) the other 21" metal wheels in the press photos look much better, these blackened 20" wheels are the only ones I don't like

Not crazy about the wheel selection being offered.

Now we are officially on day 15 of the full reveal, and we've had a good amount of time to digest what is arguably a polarizing design. The more I see the side profile, the more I like it, particularly the rear haunches. The front....some days I can accept it, but most days I think how much better it could possibly be. The rear, except for a pet peeve detail, is pretty perfect IMO. The interior...I have to see it without so much of the "crystal" trim, but I like it overall.

G70 has a more effortless sense of style with the standard trim. Looking at the side profile, it has a certain masculine élégance to it.

I love "the precision of the designer's pen" under the sideglass sills from the ridge tendon downwards. There's a "Scandanavian Quality" apparent in it's clarity. Very nice.

I can't stop looking at this. I expect this car to be a hulking monster on the road, similar to the W140 in it's day. I just can't wait to see it in person. I predict the initial sales will be quite high as all the early adopters, must have the newest thing, type of buyers will flock to get one.

Indeed a certain B&O vibe, if I may say so, is detectable.

...and pertaining solely to the flank area as of the tendon ridge and beneath, there's even a trace of "Ingenlath/Missoni/Escobedo" (although that would be "German/Austrian/Iberian"). To me, these three fellows are currently the best in the business.

I wonder how the main cluster headlights would look with no exterior glass cover.
