Nice but the winning photo is the one where it's plugged in, it just looks like the future should be

I just came across this,:D:ROFLMAO: as the saying goes, "Ideas belong to those who carry them out"

Mercedes needs to follow through on some of those things they've shown in their concepts or better yet just build one of those Maybach concepts.

These "knobs" or hidden manual commands perform the classic functions of directing/focus the airflow to areas, closing and opening the vents, etc.

This format of "invisible" vents is what you would see in a concept car because they would not be functional, before this when they reach production they would put the classic normal large ones ruining all that futuristic effect, but here they took the trouble to decipher it by taking the design and what was possible in production cars to the next level, that's also technology and of the good
But why this joystick? Tesla makes a more interesting option. It would be possible to make them tune themselves like Toyota did in the 90s.

Tesla Model 3 presented the hidden vents in 2017. But then this was not so impressive.

I can imagine the BMW vents only blowing air in a thin/narrow layer/area with higher pressure as the outlet is so thin. Similar to how the Turbo Jet Dyson hand dryers work in bathrooms.

Intresting in this pic is the UI looks very old fashioned to me.. same experience I had in IX.

If you look at the interior architecture of the W223 it would be very simple for them to implement screens where the window controls are as well as where the door controls are. I believe the lack of motion/tactile feedback to the new seat controls are a precursor to this happening.

Didn't pay much attention to it thus far, but in this picture one can't unsee that the whole front of the car is one large piece of plastic. I wonder how long it will take there is no sheet metal left at all?
PS I know this development in the car industry is not a BMW special, it's just so very obvious in this picture.

It’s kinda like the Toyota Avalon in that regard.

It looks sensational, what happens if you do the same thing to the profile picture, chrome the B pillar and all the trim, let's see how an Alpina/Maybach version of this would look
Let me try it out !

Every bumper is " one large piece of plastic". It's been like that for a couple of years now.

Not beautiful to look at, due to the reflection of the plastic. They probably save money that way.
