A5/S5/RS5 [Official] New 2017 Audi RS5 Coupe

Surely they will do a RS5 + or something to get closer to the C63S and hardcore versions of the M4?

CF roof. Interesting.

Oh. Yet another variation of the 5 arm
Rotor design. And another terrible design at that.

Forcing you to upgrade wheels. And add another €1k

Looks wise it's OK but nothing spectacular. Not for me I'm afraid.

Those GTI-ish wheels look terribly basic for this type suitable for electric cars. Something really off with the front of the car.

All the presence/exterior related bashing aside, 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.9 sec? That's crazy for a car of this category, not to mention any 3.0 liter 6 cylinder engine!!!

Meh. The BMW M4 is right behind it at an official 4.1sec 0-62mph and that's without AWD. Also with a 3.0 6 cylinder engine. I would've expected nothing less.

Isn't the Alfa QV also quoted at 3.9s-100km/hr with their 2.9L V6 as well and that's RWD!

The resemblance between Volkswagen and Audi is getting closer and closer every time a new car model is released. The new Audi design language, with their splinters, grills, wheel arch design, door/wing emblem is too similar. The same problem with the A3 facelift and new Golf. The Q8 concept is straight Volkswagen. Audi is loosing its identity:

Agreed

I can't really complain about the styling of any VW group products (except the Mulsanne which looks like shite "LOL", and the Macan).. everything is drawn to the same philosophy, so it all kinda works, but it's all becoming a little like the creamy beige paint they coat the interiors of new build houses with.

This RS5 is so bland and unexciting to look at. Not much different to the S5 and no where near as good looking as the M4 and C63. The Arteon is a much more interesting car to look at. It has visual drama totally missing in the Audi. Powertrain brings nothing new to the class just a copy paste of the spec sheet of the M4 CS, Alfa and Mercedes engines will be quicker in the higher speed ranges.

I really like it, and like the air vents inside. If only it was available as a Sportback...

The car is cool and all, but then you realize the M3/4 exists and, well... that's it's biggest flaw :D

I think Audis looking like VW's is nothing new (or bad, for that matter), so I'm not even gonna go there.
As I said, the only problem with this car (and pretty much every Audi I like) is that you can get a better BMW for similar money.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
