S-Class [Official] Mercedes-Maybach S600 (X222)


The Mercedes-Benz S-Class, formerly known as Sonderklasse, is a series of full-sized luxury sedans and coupés produced by Mercedes-Benz. The S-Class is the designation for top-of-the-line Mercedes-Benz models and was officially introduced in 1972 with the W116, and has remained in use ever since. The S-Class is the flagship vehicle for Mercedes-Benz, being positioned above the other Mercedes-Benz models.

2020 Mercedes Maybach Sedan Rendering

Every weak Peisert Design comes up with some rendering of future models. This time he published a rendering of a new Mercedes Maybach sedan. The basic product he has taken is the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept. The front gets sharp LED headlights with a big grille which gives the model a luxurious and upmarket look. The side is really long as the model measures close to 6 metres. The rear coupe like styling and tail lamps are wide just like the concept. We hope to see more amazing renderings from Peisert Designs.

Great design but the retrofit nature of partition means it is heavily compromised. The next Maybach should incorporate this partition as an option.
 
Its always quite a treat to see the Maybach S, as it has such a unique and majestic profile due to the separated rear quarter glass and narrow greenhouse combining with the stretched body imo..

Our First Mercedes-Benz Maybach Test Drive Is Definitely Worth The Wait

We’d asked our pals at Mercedes-Benz for something/anything to push around and write about while making the journey from Philadelphia to New York City to Westchester County. We like all Benzes so whatever they had was fine, we mumbled, figuring a C-class might be forthcoming.

We said “yes” before the “bach” part of “Maybach” was uttered.

And away we rolled, cruising, meandering, enjoying, getting a move on where appropriate and experiencing I-95 north as seen through this $178,135 rolling Presidential suite. It was our first Maybach test, though we’d ridden in the back seats of them for ten years here and there.

Occasionally we floored it, natch. One doesn’t take the wheel of a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 without occasionally deciding you’d like to blast a quick 200 feet away from the guy in front of you wobbling all over the highway while talking on his phone. Such is the wonder of the Maybach, whose wheel-feel and road manners reminded us very much of the S63 we’d driven last year. but on steroids. Not much of an exhaust note, true – but this is a luxury sedan; the flavor is cool, not angry.

We’ve been in the rear of many sedans costing over $200,000 – seventeen Bentleys and counting, for example – but this one is the one we’d surgically remove, place in our living rooms and enjoy its dual 12.3-inch high definition screens capable of accessing the net, its drink holders which either keep your beverage heated or cooled, its LED accents reminding us of Christmas, and the chairs’ ability to ease back and coax a nap. You’ll eat back there. You’ll hold important conversations back there. You’ll bless this life if you’re smart enough. You’ll find things to be happy about even if that day at the office or at home went terribly. You’ll chill.

And where does one park such a machine, after showing up at a few friends’ houses and standing back as they instantly yank out the phones and record the occasion as though the Maybach is a movie star?

Any hotel with an official dog roaming the grounds, such as exists here, is a place we’ll bed for a few days; even the most pinched, road-weary traveler will soften at the sight of a mutt who doesn’t give a whit about balance sheets, annual reports or powerpoint meetings, nor whether you are a Maybach owner or a cleaner of toilets. (FYI, her name is Lady and she was “hired” to chase geese and their accompanying droppings away.)

We parked the Maybach at the Tarrytown Estate House, stayed awhile and concluded it’s the ideal place to hold a business meeting, if we held a business meeting. (We don’t.) Yes, there are the long desks in the conference centers, with their pens, pads and fluorescent lighting, but one attends at least some of these conferences while gazing out over the sweeping, magnificent forests and valleys of upscale Tarrytown.

A former private manor, first erected in the 1890s, the Tarrytown House Estate and Conference Center is grand in the best sense of the word; all sweeping, ornate staircases everywhere one looks, buildings and objects made of stone, wood and marble, nothing artificial, nothing cheap, nothing plastic.

Another strong plus as far as we’re concerned is the lack of music – any music – in most public spaces such as the pool, weight room, lobby and other areas where some music-hater usually programs bland, smooth jazz. Up in the executive lounge, where one can relax with a book, the music is muted and tasteful and you don’t feel like you should be getting your hair cut, buying jeans or asking other guests their astrological sign.
