Not sure about us. But orders are coming in fast in china. This thing is just priced perfectly.

It has good a great reception in middle east as well.

LOL, that's a great way of saying it. Half Dutch and half English :D
Very nice vid BTW. The S600 Maybach is pretty epic. And the music helps.

Edit; he does say the Phantom is based on the 7er in the end, which is blatantly wrong and plain stupid to hear.

Edit 2; and he says the S600 Maybach is perfection. Quietest and most comfortable car ever.

What is his verdict on 57 & S600

The new S600 Maybach is perfect and the old Maybach 57 very far from that. He keeps calling the 57 a brothel.

One cool feature I didn't know for the new S600 Maybach: the driver's voice is amplified by the speakers in the rear so that the driver and owner/guest can have a normal conversation.

Ya, it was there since the introduction of this variant. They have worked with Burmester to make this system.

Klier, any idea where the shots were taken? Is that Kasteel de Haar in Haarzuilens or somewhere in Wassenaar.

That explains the price of aprox. € 25.000 for the Maybach Burmester system.
Edit I've made a mistake, it's circa € 6.300 in the S 600 Maybach and € 25.000 in Mb Maybach Pullman.

Gents this is the Maybach S600 shown at the Qatar Motor Show, such an elegant and noble looking car.

Silly as it may sound, I've been wondering what those rims would look like on the Maybach. As I suspected, it looks just right on it.

The only thing I don't like about this car is that it isn't as customizable as a Bentley or a Rolls-Royce.

This is Mercedes first attempt in this new segment. The next generation maybach may feature more customization at a rather affordable price

^^ As a model the S class is available with more engine options, different wheel base sizes, 2 doors, 4 doors SWB, LWB, and MAYBACH; and 6 doors versions. No single RR or Bentley model comes with so many variations. If the topic is interior trims or paint finishes, then maybe the boutique brands offer more options, otherwise the S is the king of variations with MAYBACH being one of the options.

True, hannaz, suspect those may be from the S65. The MBUSA Maybach S 600 is supposed to have the 13R 20" multispoke wheels as standard according to one of the preliminary dealer ordering guides, and they may not be available yet, while the elegant 67R 20" exclusive Maybach wheels you mention are supposed to be offered as optional equipment. :)

Wolfgang. Is this the same set of wheels seen on S65? Even though I liked it on AMG variant, I feel this not elegant Maybach as the plated wheels as in pic below.

Interesting .......those wheels are really polarising opinions. Some people really love them, while others have expressed a strong dislike of them.

Me-personally, initially I hated them .......but they've grown on me over the past few weeks. However, I still prefer those AMG-style ones.

Wolfgang.. Thank you for the information.

You are welcome. In the meantime model year 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S 600s arrived at dealerships in the USA so I could check the installed wheels. The least expensive ones seem to come with 53R 20" light alloy 5 spokes. ;)

Mercedes-Maybach

In November 2014, Daimler announced the revival of the Maybach name as a sub-brand of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222), positioned as an upscale version akin to the more sporty Mercedes-AMG sub-brand.
