Design layout, plastic distribution, plus a dose of deja vu deja connu.
Satisfied ?! :t-cheers:

I personally disagree. The cockpit looks like an evolution of the current A-Class cockpit with a little bit of SLK mixed in. :usa7uh:

Thanks alot Vivaki for your great effort. Please get us more.

And for Mercedes, you just did it with the new C, the exterior is just excellent with a typical mercedes elegance reaching its peak with the new grill that gives the car a touch of maturity and sportiness lacked by all previous C's. Now for the interior; the design is very nice, fresh and it gives you the feeling of space. Another important and noticeable thing are the dimensions used for the interior elements: the black upper section of the door, the profile of the middle section that holds the shifter and finally the seats; all of them are huge, impressive and give a very good hint about the car's overall quality. Finally, don't forget that its a mobile camera pic taken from a brochure, so whatever you see, just multiply it's beauty a couple of times more to get a good indication of the official pics.
Overall, my first impressions are very, very positive.

Ok, MS Paint does have its uses. Here, I think the C-Class interior would look better with this kind of plastic. Lighter colors.

I doubt there will be lighter colors on the upper dash part - since they reflect sun light directly back on the windshield , causing very poor visibility.

And, Christian, could you please switch back to FONT SIZE 2. :D Thanks.

How big is font size 3 on your screen? :D

I reall do feel Mecredes deserves a round of applause for a PHENOMENAL job on such a car in its class... :usa7uh:

What phenomenal job???
ok the car looks good on the outside but the interior is horrible cant make it worst. Even a b-class has a better interior!!!!!!

Seriously the more i see the new C class , the more i like it. Probably the nicest Benz in their lineup right now and certainly better than new S class in terms of design.:usa7uh:

The interior is a different story on the other hand.:eusa_doh:

Quick photoshop job where the dark plastic is a kind of khaki colored plastic. Looks much better. Well, it would look better in real life.

Christian, after seeing this photoshop, I see a glimmer of hope for this interior, still feel its inferior to 3er, A4, and even a Jetta, but hopefully it will look nicer in real life and with the AMG guise on it.

So thanks for that ps.

I think the reason that people don't like the interior is because the black part of the dash is so overwhelming (I think someone already mentioned that). I can't believe that material comes all the way down to the AC controls. It's just way too much. I'm sure quality is top notch, but what would you rather see, that or wood/alu?

I couldn't agree more. I think the quality of materials and quality of finish will be top-notch (exactly what we expect from MB now days). It's design is also fairly good, except for the large mass of black plastic. If the black plastic was only used on the top-most part of the dash it would be pretty nice, but just how it overflows down to the centre console makes it a bit too much.

I totally understand that the C-class interior shouldn't be on par with the S/CL-class interiors we've seen so far, but extensive use of black plastic in one big mass is a bit uneasy on the eyes.

Compare the C-class interior to that of the E90 3er:

Compare the level of wood, and you can easily see how some of us here are saying there's just too much black plastic, but I'm sure there's a combo from MB that makes the interior look more appealing.

Another aspect of the new C-class which I think is below-par is the rear design. Although we can only see one small pic showing the rear light, it just doesn't look all that appealing. But I guess it's MB traditionally being conservative.

Laughing my MFAO!:jpshakehe
Probably one of the biggest dissappointments of the year!
Company's like Honda, Toyota, even Acura and Lexus can get away with nice exterior and crappy interior, not to say that that's the case, but the German's are held to the highest standard as they should be! I honestly believe Mercedes wasn't willing to invest either the time or money in keeping up the normal Mercedes standard. I'm most dissapointed considering I expected a down sized version of the S-Class interior, so you can amagine my shock. Mercedes is to respected of a luxury brand to conform to the anti-German sales tactics!:jpshakehe

1st official post here. I'd like to wade in on the ongoing debate as far as this new version of the C. I have an 03 C240 Elegance which I love very much. Having said that, I like what I see in the new version up to a point.

1) I like the overall look from the outside. I'm not to sure about the rear of the car, but I'll reserve my judgement until I see it in person.

2) I'm not a big fan of the HUGE star in the grill. It looks a good with the AMG kit, but not without it.

3) I too must comment on the all black dash. I feel like I should be in New Zealand with the All Blacks :D (ok, ok, bad joke). While it doesn't look that great (I'll wait until I see it in person), the overall interior is nice. Granted, I've only had one C, but, I think it looks good.

4) I really think Mercedes missed the boat on this point tho. I was shocked when I found out that they weren't going to have the new C for all the NA auto shows. I know the official launch is at the Geneva auto show, but I feel they could have promoted the new C to death at the NA shows. Just my $.02. :t-hands: :t-crazy2: :eusa_doh::eusa_thin.

Maybe they want a piece of the action at Geneva, with the A5 being released and is the M3 going to be released there?
