C-Class (W204) Official Mercedes-Benz W204 C-Class Discussion Thread

The Mercedes-Benz W204 is the third generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The W204 platform was also used for the E-Class Coupé (C207). Model codes: W204 (sedan), S204 (station wagon / estate), C204 (coupé). Production: March 2007 – March 2014 (sedan), February 2007 – March 2014 (station wagon), 2011–2015 (coupé). Model years: 2008–2014, 2012–2015 (coupé)
It sure is very beautiful. I love the sharp and fierce design. Hoefully the CLK will have similar lines and look more aggressive than the previous generations.

Finally, CAR Magazine and Autocar are test driving the W204 this coming week. I'm sure everyone is dying to find out how it drives and handles and, the million dollar question, will it topple the 3-Series??

I have to be honest and say it probably won't however, I think it will come close.

Damn, so hot, so hot!! :icondrool :icondrool :D

How does the screen pop up and down??? Is it electronic??

It is electronical...I think it is "comparable" to the Navigation screen in BMW Z4 and X3...

These interior colours (only avaible for "Avantgarde") are looking great!!

I don't think they will offer these combinations in the USA! It's the same with these great interiors in the E-Class or S-Class - they are not avaible!

'08 C-Class technical info needed

Anybody know what the offset of the front and rear wheels is? I'm toying with the idea of using the AMG C36 wheels currently on my C320 since I am not too thrilled with the stock wheels shown on the "Luxury" model.

I'm looking forward to driving my dealer's W204 demo which is supposed to show up in a few months.

I'd love to tell you, but my computer had a harddisk failure recently and I still have to install quite a few things before my computer will reliably open a PDF file from Mercedes-Benz Deutschland.

REE, can you perhaps help him out? :t-cheers:

Re: '08 C-Class technical info needed

I went to that website and the relevant PDF file shows tire sizes per model but no wheel info except diameter.

Perhaps you could try emailing them. I'm sure they'd be delighted to help you out. :t-cheers:

The spec sounds good:

In the U.S. market, the new C-Class will be launched this fall with three V6-powered models – the C350 Sport, the C300 Luxury and the C300 Sport. In addition, the C300 Sport and Luxury models will be available with an all new 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system mated to a seven-speed transmission. New standard equipment includes a power sunroof, eight-way power front seats with lumbar support, two-zone automatic climate control, 17-inch wheels, Bluetooth connectivity and a central controller with a seven-inch display screen.

but...I'm worried about the price. This is a lot of standard equipment for a C-Class even in the U.S. market. 4Matic can be had on the C300 Sport model also, something previously unavailable on the C230 and C350 Sport models.

The car is a real looker too:

The only thing is though is that steering wheel and the dash needing more wood or aluminum to break up that vast spanse of plastic. Still though, I can't wait for a test drive!
