Does anyone know the earliest date one could buy / order a right hand drive W204? I'm getting different dates from MB & MB dealers!

Also which is the best eu country for personal export to uk?

You can rest assured that if there were enough demand for a manual in a C350 it will make it to market. I can only speak for the US, but we rarely sell a 350 period, much less with a manual. I can count on one hand the demand we have for a manual C class in an entire year.

With the sport available in the 280 I doubt you will see 350 sales increase.

The C350 was made in limited numbers to begin w/ and didn't come til the end of the W203's life cycle, not to mention it was @ a higher price point than the 230, so it's logical that it didn't sell nearly as well as it's underpowered sibling. Things could change a lot here in the u.S. market, especially since they're going to be marketing this car as a sport alternative. The 350 has a chance, and either way I'm confident the W204 will succeed.

Welcome to GermanCarForum! :t-cheers:

Deliveries in Germany are starting in April, so I am guessing that RHD will be available for the UK and other markets around June / July. :usa7uh:

Can't answer your second question. Sorry. :t-cheers:

Does anyone know:

1. When is the earliest date one can buy / order a right hand drive W204?

2. Best value EU country for MB personal exports to UK?

Re: First Official 2007 C Class W204 Pics, Cont'd Thread 5.

I really wanted to like this car. I was looking out for it for two years. But then I was quite disappointed. The exterior looks good but could have been more aerodynamic and aggresive (similar to the CL for example)...the interior is a drab..the car is not out in the market and it already looks old..the popup nav screen is something which is offered in a BMW 1 series, a volvo etc etc... It just doesn't match up to the class of a 3 series or the new A5 (I am assuming here that it will have the integrated cockpit look like the new A5 and A6). Also, what's with the round buttons ? There are a whole host of them in the centre. Overall it just does not add up. Hard to imagine that this car will be around till at least 2013..

I like the exterior , it looks modern and agressive. The interior on the other hand is a complete failure. Looks like a hybrid between the interior of Touareg and Toyota RAV4.

As for the steering wheel is probably the worse i have ever seen.

Hi W204C

I wrote to the Markerting Director at MB UK.

1. He is anticipating a potential showing in advance of the 14 June 2007
Launch. This is subject to early availability of cars from the factory.

2. I am also interested in a Personal Import into the UK and would keep you
posted, if however you beat me to it, then please let me know.

3. Marketing sent me their interim brochure, the detailed one plus price list wil be out in April,
I suppose it is only then that you will be able to actually configure a car and place an order.

is it true that they will update the engines a year after the car is introduced????? i read that they will replace the kompressors with turbos.

I have not heard anything about that, though there are rumors of AMG working on a turbocharged / Kompressor version of their current V8.

For sure though, the diesels of the C-Class will get an upgrade. The current C220 CDI has been boosted to 170-hp and the next generation C220 CDI according to Auto Motor und Sport will have over 200-horsepower. :eek2:

We may assume that an almost 300-horsepower V6 with direct injection might be added (C350 CGI).

:t-cheers: Once we have the UK price list we'll be in a better position to decide whether to import or not!
