The body widening has been done in an almost imperceptible way, which is why some of you are disappointed it is not more apparent. The whole bodywork has been swollen up, and it is apparent around the door area and the fuel cap, which by architecture have remained where they used to be in the normal SLS.

For me, while the spoiler is a tad too GT3-ish for me, I love the rest of the package. It seems to finally bring the SLS design home for me. Especially looked from the front three quarters, it immediately conjures those old racing Gullwings of the 50s.

And how about this being the first Mercedes engine to spin 8,000 RPM ever outside of F1? A 6.3 liter of such high capacity spinning that high is something of a marvel to me - the engine must have undergone a lot of work. I wonder if it is a whole new designation. But I am now very curious about the sound.

Guys, the SLS is already a very wide beast and widening it further will only make them more difficult to drive at low speeds in urban environment.

^ I am also looking to see some pictures without that rear spoiler. That is the only thing that I do not like too much from the package (I actually love the small winglets in the front).

I would love to see what other colors are available. Would think a red exterior with the black carbon trim and the two tone black/red interior would be something to behold to the eyes.

I'm not so crazy bout its appearance. Whatever elegant charm it had with the standard SLS, is gone now. I'm sure it'll be lovely to drive and that V8 will always be a gem.

Here's an example of more is less... this BS treatment is just over the top for an SLS. Interestingly, I find the humble-beginnings C63 AMG BS to be far better resolved in the "intentionally brutal" styling stakes.

In my mind, if you've got the dosh and you're after an SLS then the only one to have is the truly gorgeous roadster.

Amazing car. Finally an SLS AMG variant I can really feel a lot of passion for. Welcome to Mercedes now in the club of true high-revving engines.

A high-revving 8000+ rpm redline from that jewel of an engine. Imagine how it will scream at those rpms. Cannot wait to hear it.
