Yeah true, but the part of Sydney that I'm from, whoever drives one of them is a drug dealer or criminal! Not stating that my grandpa is one who owns a ML63 amg hahahaha!

I understand the luxury vehicle tax in Australia but I really think overall that higher end cars are ridiculously priced. Anything over a 911 or C63 or BMW M4 and the prices increase exponentially.

It's ludicrous! You can get one of these in the USA for what, 150-180k? Now that Holden and Ford are dead it's time to abolish the LCT!

Exactly wtf! They rip us off here with the taxes, my aunte lives in Switzerland and she just bought a brand new Audi A4 1.8T for $30,000 here its like $55,000! Lol
Yeah I'm extremely sad about the fact that Holden is stopping production here because I'm a huge holden/ HSV fan! I would rather buy the new GTS for $100,000 over the ridiculously priced Germans! And as you can see I own a SSV Lol!

Yeah true but even they are ridiculously priced! 911's cheapest $250,000+ lol wtf! You can grab one from overseas for less than $100,000! My friends dad bought a 2003 Porsche 911 and he payed $60,000 for it, huge rip off in my opinion!

It's a catch 22. The Germans wouldn't be so ridiculously priced if it weren't for the LCT. And the LCT was obviously there to protect the local makers from foreign manufacturers. Imagine what our auto landscape would be like if C-classes were costing $40k and S-classes $120-$150K. Would the locals have had chance to make it up until now? Not likely. With the death of the local makers the LCT should be abolished. Sadly though, the Government is just addicted to the revenue.

The S 65 AMG Coupe and other new S Coupe models are real stunners, can't wait to see this car in real life, it is one of the most beautiful coupes on the road for sure

Mercedes-Benz is indeed very good at coupes. The C217 is magnificent. And while it took a while for the current "faux" E-Class coupe to grow on me, I now confess to being a fan. Its' successor, a bonafide E-Class derivative, will undoubtedly be smashing.

Current, facelifted E-Class coupe is a belter. The bigger, the better, it seems, it gets for Merc coupes.

Base Audi A4 in Switzerland is 39k CHF which is about 46k AUD and that is bare bones with nothing. The Aussie model is equipped with more as standard.

I drove the face lifted E 500 coupe... was great. Why no AMG, it would have been awesome.
