Compared to the mighty W222 and the opulent G70 the W223 looks still like something between E- and S-Class.

I know the 7er has no chance regarding sale numbers, but I would choose the G70 over the S anyday.

When I test drove the W223 for the first time at the end of May, the presence was quite impressive for me.

Did you drive the 7 and how would you compare it with the S?

How did you feel about the 'crystal' elements?

'The more I see it on the road, the more I like it'...indeed the S remains are masterclass in restrained design IMO. It's pretty, elegant and expensive looking without being brash. Still looks entirely fresh and I doubt anything is going to date it, other than a new S.
I only sat next to him (my client), didn't drive myself. As a passenger, it was a comfortable experience.

The crystal elements look good, not tacky in my eyes at least. I'm pretty sure though, on a sunny day they are potentially blinding.

Seriously?!? Have you experienced one yet? I can tell you it looks very imposing in the flesh. The only thing I’m not sold on is the rear design

Yes I have. Imposing...sure I'll give it that. But so is an elephant. Both are absolutely huge. It's ugly as sin too.

I'm sure it's a damn fine car in all other respects.

Why arent the used S-Class not dropping in price i couldnt find anything below 100k € at Mobile.de

Congratulations @Mick Briesgau I knew you would fall for the charm of the W223, it is truly a stunning luxury saloon. I saw a kalahari coloured AMG spec S500 at Dubai airport and it is a really good looking car, has so much presence and elegance.
