S-Class (W223) [Official] Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W223)

The Mercedes-Benz W223 is the seventh generation of the S‑Class full-size luxury sedan. Body Styles: W223 (standard), V223 (long), Z223 (limousine, Mercedes-Maybach). Predecessor: S‑Class (W222). Successor: S-Class (W224) [expected]. Production: 2020- Model years: 2021-
For the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, see Mercedes-Maybach S-Class (Z223)
On this design the two tone paint will work better though that render sucks in my opinion: no Maybach grill, no Maybach bumpers, the wheels are from the coupe concept, most likely there won’t be such available, and the one on the vision cabrio is way better. Also basically this car looks like a short wheelbase S class with two tone pain as oppose to a proper Maybach
And the Maybach will have the third window separated from the door, which is its most distinguishing feature.

Mercedes Taking Maybach 'To The Next Level' With Extra-Long S-Class

It's going to be revealed in November.

The all-new Mercedes S-Classmade its debut at the beginning of the month with a choice of two wheelbases. Both the SWB and LWB are longer than their predecessors, so the more luxurious Maybach will also be extended between the axles over the previous model carrying the double M logo. Bigger isn’t necessarily better, but the three-pointed star aims to take the Maybach brand to new heights with the ultra-luxurious S-Class.
Codenamed X223, the flagship version of a flagship model will premiere in November at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China. Daimler CEO Ola Källenius told Autocar the model will take the Maybach brand to “the next level,” but without going into many details. He did say the Maybach GLS has been enjoying great success since its launch in 2019 as the S-Class of SUVs and that the company’s intent is to take advantage of Maybach’s positioning as a separate brand within Daimler.
Mercedes is certainly having more success this time around with the Maybach brand after reviving the brand in the 2000s with the 57 and 62 models, only to phase it out in the early 2010s due to slow sales. It was revived in 2015 as a standalone brand with a posh S-Class W222, followed by high-end versions of the S-Class Convertible along with the rare G650 Landaulet. The Maybach GLS joined the range in 2019.

With the demise of the two-door S-Class models, Autocar asked Ola Källenius whether this decision would give Maybach the opportunity to roll out low-volume, higher-margin models to fill that void:
Meanwhile, the Maybach S-Class Sedan premiering in a couple of months will be the only model in the entire Mercedes/Maybach portfolio to feature a V12 engine. The twin-turbo 6.0-liter has been retired from the AMG 65 models and will live on in the Maybach S where it will work with 4Matic all-wheel drive for the first time.
It’ll reportedly deliver the same 621 horsepower and 1,000 Newton-meters (738 pound-feet) of torque as before, which in the case of the old Maybach S650 enabled a 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.6 seconds. Mighty impressive considering the previous-generation model tipped the scales at a hefty 5,280 pounds (nearly 2,400 kilograms).
The W223 Is Here:

Beyond the superior legroom granted by the extra-long wheelbase and the effortless power delivery of the V12, the Maybach S-Class should have a few other aces up its sleeve. The biggest changes over a Benz-branded model will be in the back where the fullsize luxury sedan will get high-end amenities to rival the likes of Bentley and Rolls-Royce. The exterior will get some subtle changes as well, namely the latest Maybach grille with vertical slots, the double M logo on the rear pillar, bespoke wheels, and unique designs for the bumpers.
Markus Schäfer, board member for Group Research and Development, Procurement and Supplier Quality, previously told Autocar the Maybach model will be “very differentiated from the long versions.” It could mean there are going to be more significant changes compared to the old Benz and Maybach S in an attempt to lure in buyers that would otherwise go for the more established ultra-luxury, German-owned British brands.

While I (at least "kind of") get the purpose of these super-extended wheelbase automobiles, I've never managed to understand just how they could be able to "warm the car enthusiasts heart". Maybe just me... But still, they all seem to remind me of these:

yes i understand there is a market for what in America we call limousines, but I do not understand the facination with such cars. If you are going to buy one great, I understand the desire for information. But how many here will buy such a car? I would like MB to put the best they offer in the W223 which I assume is a much higher volume seller.

Wait a minute... where is the night vision? Is it missing? Apparently it's not available.

Air balance also seems to be missing.

What else is missing?

air balance is still available. night vision is gone.

Gone from the car ? Why ?

yes. night vision is no longer available. maybe too few people order it in the 222. in 213 it was never offered . or because digital light. or and this is also possible it comes later.

You may remember the days when Mercedes used to make a limousine (lang) version of the E-class. The weird thing is that Mercedes never offered the most powerful engine, it was always a diesel or at most an intermediary six cylinder engine. The carburated 250 for the W123 and 260E for the W124.

I dread to think how slow the 240 D Lang was... Probably good enough for shuttling Michael Corleone around the Vatican, but not so good if had to get away from his enemies.

The U.K.s' Coleman Milne really goes overboard with these extended wheelbase cars:

Also the 222 is stylish with the red Interior

The new interior does make the old one look a bit messy. It's also got a lot more S-Class DNA than the W222. Not taking anything away from the fact that the W222 was very special for its time and place.

To me it's the other way around: the W223 looks messy with those floating screens and other dubious design elements... The W222 looks a lot more harmonious, more elegant, seems to have been created by someone possessing some aesthetic sense. But that's me.

with the BRABUS Monoblock G platinum edition 22''

and with same wheels but lowered bumper and side skirt (because i like the non amg version more, because the amg bumper has this black thing under)

These wheels are an excellent match for the pimped out red interior and pin stripe wood and plastic interior. Can you add chrome trim around the rear lights, rain guards above the windows and faux vents on the front quarter panels for the finishing touches?
