yes its a safety test and the w223 failed it here. If there would be a car, a tree, a house, whatever, the s class would have a crash. So..not “no problem here”, but a big problem here.

- i’m not a hater, i drive my 6th S-Class, worked at Mercedes, cofounder of the Mercedes club, so i’m a big fan

I still love the 222, but compared to the 223, it doesnt look old, but it looks barock.
The 223 really looks so much sportier.
But on the other hand, do a S-Class need to look sporty? I mean isnt that something that bmw and audi could look like, but a Mercedes should look more aristocratic?

I wish Mercedes would do just one retro styled car. Something more upright as a nod to the past, but updated for today. They absolutely hate retro anything so they will never do it. A electric Maybach or the next E-Class could be a retroish looking vehicle, but it will never happen. Imagine if they brought back something with the twin lamps from the old W210/CLK days or modern take on the W140 or W126. I would love to see such a car.

I pray they stay away from retro personally. And I do believe the W222 has begun to look its age. Still a very pretty car but no longer looks brand new. It had a fantastic run.

When I see them on road now, the W222 looks amazing, but it looks old schoolish now, which is crazy. It's still a gorgeous car and it put the S-Class back to where it should be. I see a lot of W221s too, and they still look great. That said, you can't find a W220 or W140 in good shape on the roads. Very rare cars.

Seems like all the German luxury brands are against retro styled cars. Not sure why.

I still prefer W222 to W223. One could indeed say W222 looks baroque (@Sonder) or old schoolish (@Merc1). I’d like to call it Classic, just like that. This W222 will never age or look old, it’s as classic as Greek mythology.

Hey sat in the King today @ Mercedes Warford ...Blown away by the interior. Guys if you get a chance please go sit in the New S my sit was short thabks to some bullshit covid protocol i sat in passengers seat the screens are amszing and very responsive..The seats are so amazing wow i could sleep all night in the rear with those recline seats ...i didnt get a chance to play with the light gear switch to feel the quality ..the interior fit a finish wall great not a level down on previous S ...i found the leather softer then W222 and those new door seat controls are so easy and cool to use those journos who complain off them are just stupid this is so easy snd cool u touch it and moves immediately the way you require..

I would love to own this car..
