The Mercedes-Benz W222 is the sixth generation of the Mercedes Benz S-Class. Body styles: W222 (standard), V222 (long), X222 (limousine, Mercedes-Maybach), VV222 (pullman), C127 (coupé), A217 (convertible). Predecessor: S-Class (W221). Successor: S-Class (W223). Production: 2013–2020.
Have any German friends been to the MB Museum, to see if the S is on display ? I guess it should be there soon ?? The museum website's 'current' page is down, so you can't see what they have on display.

This S class there is no highlighted thresholds...
I guess that I see wrong.

The family look is clear now. Once the new C arrives, only the E will stick out and thus in 2016 it will likely signal an further progression of this design theme.

The well executed design of the S class has me excited about the C class. I'm assuming that they will share much of the same design language.

Yup this is exactly why the E needed such drastic surgery. Well it's good to see consistency returning to MB design. There is now a very clear theme. And it looks good!

Funny you say that because, all things considered, that was more of a commercial for the W221 than against it. Why Audi chose to depict "old luxury" Mercedes with a super clean Diamond White, AMG-kitted, pano-roof, facelifted S-Class still baffles me though. Looks like they are the ones who could use the marketing department help.....

You're right, why didn't they use a Champagne silver 350 !!!

As i understand the commercial, Audi wanted also to describe S Class customers, not only to make a commercial against the w221.

Range-topping ‘3D’ Burmeister system uses a bass bin in the front bulkhead. This, in turn, uses the 40 litres of airspace in the sills as resonance chambers.

Sounds huge and clever! How many Watts again with the range topping system?!
