Yeah, not going to lie, I'd ask the dealer what can be done with this glaring fault. I've never seen that before.

I've seen it before, but only on aftermarket leather jobs. Not by the manufacturer who has perfected a pattern as they have.

Also, I am not getting involved, they already hate me for pointing out all the faults with poor shut lines and stitching. I won't be able to show my face there anymore.

That’s just laziness by the owner. The NYPD traffic nannies always make sure to F up your car in some way if it’s nice when they tow.

Its still hard to believe the W222 is 5 years old now, it still looks fresh and is still the benchmark vehicle in this class with its unrivaled comfort, refinement and majestic style. I think Mercedes Benz will have a hard time improving on it with the W223.

The tow truck was a AAA flat bed.
These boots aren't NYPD. They're subcontractors that drive around with license plate reading cameras and if you have an unpaid ticket, they put a boot on your vehicle. Then you gotta return that boot, or you get charged ~$1000.
