Elimination of the net in the passenger footwell

Shameful. Something that's been around since forever. Cost cutting at it's worst.

PERFORMANCE INCREASE FOR THE GLS 63 4MATIC UP TO 920 HP

The company wheelsandmore has now presented a new offer for the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 4MATIC with its 612 hp and 850 Nm series output. In addition to new light alloy rims and a new exhaust system, there is a performance increase in four stages up to a maximum of 920 hp / 1,150 Nm.

Performance increase in four stages

When it comes to the increase in performance, you have the choice between four different levels, with the standard output already being increased in level one to 700 or 710 hp at 950 or 1,000 Nm. The price list for the respective update is € 2,990 for software optimization and € 3,808 for the additional electronic control unit with a two-year guarantee on the engine and drive.

In level 2, throughput-optimized downpipes with sport cats and revised series loaders (in exchange) are used, which results in a whopping 800 hp and 1,040 Nm of torque. At the same time, the V-Max lock is lifted here, allowing the vehicle to sprint up to a maximum of 320 km / h - at a price of 19,999 euros including assembly.

In the third output stage, the CPS control unit is also modified and the twin scroll turbochargers and reinforced wastegates elicit 860 hp from the 4 liter displacement, which consequently also results in a mechanical reinforcement of the transmission up to max. Requires 1,150 Nm - at a price of 36,999 euros with assembly.

A maximum of 920 hp and 1,150 Nm torque possible

In the largest expansion stage, you can get up to 920 hp and 1,150 Nm torque - without increasing the displacement, opening the engine or using forged components. Once again, modified turbochargers are responsible for the additional 60 horses, which, in harmony with high-performance fuel pumps and the appropriate software, lead to a conversion price of 49,999 euros at the exclusive tuner Wheelsandmore.

Light alloy wheels for the GLS 63

From the outside, the modified SUV hardly gives an idea of what performance it is capable of. The only, but noticeable, feature is the G-Logic type alloy wheels, which completely fill the wheel arches in all directions. The wheel-tire combination consists of wheelsandmore rim type G-Logic in the dimensions 10.5 × 24 inches with tires in 295 / 35-24 and 12.5 × 24 with 335 / 30-24 on the rear axle. Or all around 10.5 × 24 with 295 / 30-24. Surface and color are made exactly according to customer requirements, all colors with code and RAL colors are possible. Special requests such as the manufacturer's logo in the hub caps, your own branded millings or engravings, as well as color-accentuating outlines are very welcome at Wheelsandmore. Incidentally, a suitable lowering is currently still in development.

Finally, the stainless steel exhaust system with the sporty, sonorous and unmistakable sound typical of the GLS 63 should be mentioned. Nothing is as emotionally decisive for the character and perception of a German sports car as the sound of an exhaust system.

That huge and plain grill looks so cheap. GLS should be the top of their offering in every way, this is quite cheap looking.

I don’t think so.. what we see here is a plain image, am sure it’ll have chrome lining to make it look premium. Right now GLS grille is so normal looking especially after X-Class came with similar slats. GLS requires something like this

At first I thought it was a mistake in the photo, or that they forgot to remove the camo tape...., incredible I don't even know what to call this, untidy it would be very kind, it's the price to pay when you only change the grill, how they approved something like that....

Wow they actually improved the Maybach model. Looks good so far.

Yeah I like the updates. Absolute shame they couldn't find a way to continue the grille lines through the sensor on the Maybach.
