To me it makes sense that it has the hood ornament because it helps to immediately distinguish it from a standard GLS.... It also gives it a more stately appearance like other flagship class cars

For me personally a grille swap would hardly differentiate it from the GLS anyway... it's going to look like a GLS whatever happens.
