May premiere in LA according to MB Passion.
In advance of the actual world premiere, the first dimensional drawings of the top engine of the GLE series have now appeared on the net, showing the Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 4MATIC+ in the front & rear view. The premiere of the vehicle will probably be celebrated at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2019.
GLE 63 4MATIC+
Basically, the scale drawings, the origin of which is probably due to the leaked graphics in the Russian area, compared to the GLE 53 4MATIC + a modified front with more or enlarged air intakes. The actual front design with "AMG-specific grill" remains, whereby the points of distinction for the untrained eye is quite difficult.
Clearly recognizable, however, are the lateral open air intakes for the 8-cylinder, which are closed in the smaller AMG variant. The dimensions and height information remain the same - at least compared to the 6-cylinder variant from Affalterbach. The information should be unloaded.
OPTICALLY FEW DIFFERENCES TO THE GLE 53 4MATIC+
In the rear view, the vehicle width at 2,018 mm is slightly above the GLE 53 4MATIC+ with its 2,015 mm. When specifying the rear track width of 1,720 mm, we assume, however, of a faulty statement, since the 6-cylinder already presents 1,726 mm. Looking at the actual rear, the GLE 63 4MATIC+ is identical to the GLE 53 4MATIC+, apart from the other tailpipes of the exhaust system.
By the way, with the GLE 63 4MATIC+ we expect a clear technical differentiation of the top engine from the other variants. So we expect an 8-cylinder engine in the range of 612 hp and additional EQ electric drive with about 90 kW. For exact data we have to wait, especially since official confirmations are not yet available.
