I have spotted several of these on the road and, with the AMG pack and the right color, the new GLE is quite a looker. A really fine and smooth design.

I am starting to see this car more frequently on the roads. I don’t love the interior but find it considerably less truck-less in person than in photos. The exterior on the other hand is best in class and hides the bulk of the vehicle very well.

It’s MB’s best and most unique SUV design since the Mk.1 ML.

The GLC, GLE and GLS are convincingly outselling all their BMW competitors here in Australia. No small achievement as the ML/GLE has never outsold the X5 locally.

Just today I saw 3 Diamond White GLS's. More than I've seen the X7 since it's launch. MB Australia made a good decision making the AMG spec standard. They look lovely on the road.

Theres 2 new GLE's in my family this year. Lexus defectors.

They too look gorgeous when specced well.

MERCEDES-AMG GLE 63 (S) 4MATIC+ Available to Order as SUV and COUPÉ

Mercedes-AMG is now starting sales approval for the new 8-cylinder performance models of the GLE 63 (S) 4MATIC+ - as SUV (V167) and Coupé (C167). Deliveries are currently planned from May 2020.

GLE 63 with increased performance compared to the previous generation

The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 (S) 4MATIC+ can be ordered as an SUV and Coupé version from today. The prices of the GLE 63 model of the 167 series differ, depending on the engine and design. The base price starts at 124,355 euros as GLE 63 4MATIC+ SUV (V167).

GLS 63 S variant with 612 PS + 16 kW / 22 PS EQ boost by means of an integrated starter generator

Compared to the GLE 53 4MATIC+, the 8-cylinder engine model differs with a more voluminous design language at the front and square double tailpipe trims at the rear (with corrugation for the S version). Optional is an AMG Night package.

The prices of the new models (including VAT) at a glance:

The standard equipment includes the Parking package, consisting of Active Parking Assistant, rear view camera, PARKTRONIC and Drive Away Assist. The S model for the SUV and for the Coupé not only receives, among other things, dynamic engine mounts, but also red painted brake calipers.

Well, the non coupe 63s was

an E63s is 123.170,95 Euro
it's a lot for something that now almost looks identical to the 53?

GLE AND GLS RECALL for TOW HOOK PROBLEMS

Mercedes-Benz is currently recalling the GLE and GLS from production in 2019. The reason for the recall are defects in the welds in the rear frame area, which may not have sufficient tensile strength. So far, only 531 models have been affected worldwide, including 33 units in Germany.

The current recall from Mercedes-Benz is the possible lack of tensile strength of the weld seams in the rear frame area of the GLE and GLS of the current series (BR 167), which could lead to detachment of the towing device when using the rear tow hook (KBA reference 9833 , Manufacturer Code 6490004).

Mercedes-Benz will check the affected components as part of the recall and replace them if necessary. Affected owners will be contacted in writing as usual, however, we have no information about the duration of the required repair.

Multicontour Front Seats (399) - Is this the massage seats?
MBUX High (549) - any idea what this does over standard MBUX?
