GLB (X247) [Official] Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class

The Mercedes-Benz GLB (X247) is a crossover SUV produced by Mercedes-Benz. The GLB is positioned between the GLA and the larger GLC in size, however unlike these vehicles the GLB is equipped with optional third row seating due to better space distribution. Production: July 2019–2026. Model years: 2020–2026.
It looks great, certainly one of the most interesting vehicles in this class looks wise as well as with class leading versatile interior. The interior is virtually the same as the B-class so its quality should be good for this class. There is no car in this class that has interior material quality that is truly premium, all of the premium brands per se have some elements of cost cutting and hard plastic interior components.

with class leading versatile interior.
What is the class you are referring to? Because if it is the class of FWD platform based AWD, stretched to its maximum, then there are some quite versatile vehicles like Skoda Kadiaq, Tiguan Allspace even VW Atlass.

Just been to Mercedes Watford for the service of my E class..

I sat in the B and A class of the GLB is same as the B I see no issues the B class interior is well put together spacious and good quality for the entry level market yes their are places with plastic but that's in all cars this class intact I found the general quality of the B class very nice..

Drove the GLE wow.

Very luxurious

I'm sure it will be popular, it's an SUV and it's got a premium badge on it.

I personally prefer the execution of the B-Class looks wise.

Looking rather nice and quite of a first on the market, but I fail to see if the extra seats were that necessary in this segment.
Families need space regardless of budget. The GLB's third row is as accommodating for adults who are shorter than 5'11 but cost half of what a three row GLE or X.

This is a fantastic proposition for consumers and it's damn good looking.

It's a car that will make most sense to buy in lower end trims as I envision it getting too close in price to a GLC if you pile on options. The bigger sibling will have better sound insulation and a pusher ride. Even if it's a bit pricey to option as a seven seater it will still be alot cheaper than a 7 seater GLE/X5.

^ For Christ's sake, you cannot compare a GLB with a GLE or X5. It is obvious that those are in another league, for other customers, so the price argument in favor of GLB being cheaper is nonetheless a truism and doesn't make sense in the GLE/X5 context. Audiences differ. If one can afford to buy a GLE, it will most likely never look down the lineup, even less so at the compact GLB.

Not every S-class buyer drives an S-Class, A8 or 7-Series for the rest of their lives.

Consumers cross shop segments depending on needs, priorities, disposal income, finance deals and cars available on the dealer lot.

Small SUVs are more competent than ever. All I am saying is that the GLE/X5 are now longer the default choice choice if you want a German SUV that can physically carry 7 people. The GLB at half the price is a purposeful alternative.

So this is built in Mexico, will it be more expensive for European market?

Which one?

I recall on our BMW E70 X5 you used to see the interior paint exposed at the trailing edge of the front door trim panel above the arm rest. It was quite common on BMW's of that generation. I haven't taken notice of this in the current generation of all 3 Germans to be honest.

I don't have the same time to nitpick as I once did LOL.

Cute little nugget with what seems to be a fantastic dollop of practicallity and thankfully not the post concept snoozefest I expected.

I'm glad it's not the mini G it was purported to be as that would have just been a bastardisation of the iconic G and a very limiting factor for generational evolution.

A very different proposition to the Q3, X1 and GLA and a very likely sales success
